Well for the first time i am thinking i will not pre-order or even buy this. There are few new games on the horizont, which will be for me more fun to play...

I am really not happy with this... no new pvp modes... nothing really "exciting"... (as one screenshot on the twitter, said it will be game changer.. - i mean.. cmon.. its the same model as last few years)...

So all in all, nothing really new, from my point of view it looks like they are milking the cow as long as they can. I think that population will drastically drop until the end of this year, do not get me wrong, it is good game, but after few years of same concept, the game (Every game) starting to be boring...

Thank god im not invested in this game anymore, now I can point fingers and laugh at the design team and devs. They hyped this event up for 3 months and didnt even get 60k peak on Twitch, and they gave you the bat out of pity so it seems like they got 80k consecutive viewers.

    I'm not sure.

I haven't been much into existing vamps. I don't have many nightblades and the existing vamp skills are basically a +3 to nightblades.

If the vampire redesign fits necros that might make me more interested in playing. Can only wait and see.

Visiting Skyrim would be nice but I'm hardly hyped. Mostly due to the fact that I'm behind on the content in this game, I still have to complete Summerset and Elsweyr. I like to do quests in proper order.

Here’s a few of my thoughts:

    • The new relic hunt looks like it’ll be a bit of fun, sort of reminds me of the exotic weapon mission on Destiny. Hopefully it’s done so it’s fun and challenging but not an absolute boring grind.
    • I’m pleased that they’re not trying to cram in too much of Skyrim in one expansion map, the expansion maps aren’t that big and I feel if they tried to cram two holds onto it they wouldn’t be doing it justice. Hopefully it’s just Haarfinger to go with the Blackreach area, save Hjaalmarch for a smaller DLC and save The Reach for a future chapter a few years down the track.
    • The content itself is looking a bit light. I’m getting really peeved that the chapters seem to be getting smaller and price seems to be getting larger. Not happy about that at all.

So overall, at this stage I won’t be getting it until we learn more about the nuts and bolts of the content. It just doesn’t seem worth the price tag at the moment.

This chapter looks to be mutton dressed up as lamb fanservice.

The vampire skill line changes aren't a new skill line, they are just fixing a skill line that has badly needed fixing for years. Something that should have been done in a patch.

The new content is obviously welcome, yet once again they appear to be using the old art assets for the majority of this content, so nothing that is going to seem that new.

The new Antiquities sounds good at first. But it has you revisiting all the old zones. In other words, just like the festivals, they have added something to the game that offers nothing new in substance and reuses already visited locations. So just like the festivals, it will become old pretty quickly if you do it on more than one character.

The return of the physical CE was a great headline, but behind that headline is something that costs $30 more than any previous physical CE, yet only contains half the content.

No changes/additions to PVP content other than a couple crafted sets and a new siege engine which will most likely just be a cosmetic skin.

And once again we are told "This is the first stage of our performance upgrade". Something we have been told more or less every year since launch at this time of the year.

We get a new siege weapon.... wow. Nothing for PvP apart from that (which will probably be BiS and not for casual players) and the fact that the new Vampire will most likely be so over-tuned, entire Cyro is going to be pale skins running around. Meh...

150 is crazy as balls. I made it to half way on one character and decided to settle definitively on a single main character to play before trying to complete it. Haven't managed to do that yet and have only been into Murkmire on one character to buy something from a guild trader.

I just wish they made the whole overland experience a bit more challenging or added some extra challenge to the whole solo experience rather than a few overworld bosses. I find this game is either laughably easy or at the other extreme really meta and full of people who give out to you if you dont have the correct build/dps. There is nothing for those middle of the road players.

Bit hyped because of vampire revamp (been a vampire since the first month the game launched)

But... yeah the trailers and all look pretty bad ass. Just like the ones from Elseweyr did. But the Elseweyr zone to me felt like an empty zone with lot's of closed doors and invisible walls. That really turns me down and to be honest i don't expect it to be better in the new zones.

What i am more excited for though are the performance fixes they promised for this year. Since i like PvP the most i really hope this will be better soonish. If not, i do not see any reason to play or even buy this chapter.

The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Underwhelmed from what I've read so far.

Seeing more of Skyrim is an unmitigated cool but in terms of actual gameplay changes... not so much.

I was really expecting either a new system (Spellcrafting, etc.), a new ACTIVE ability line (Psijic, Undaunted, etc.) or a new weapon skill line (this option always seemed remote, TBH) but we instead have yet another passive grind for... things we can display in our homes? Ugh.

Vampires mean nothing to me and I honestly don't think that their dedicated boosters are a very large percentage of overall ESO players. Most people (like myself) take Vampirism on Magicka characters for the passives, decidedly not because we actually want to be a vampire or want to hang out with Lord Harkon. If they end up stripping the useful passives from Vampirism in order to copy-paste the Skyrim Vampire line back into ESO... people are going to cure themselves and they'll be selling an expansion to like the ~10% of players who actually are dedicated vampire roleplay afficianados.

I wasn't around for the Morrowind chapter release but if you're just comparing added features... things don't really balance.

Still too early to tell but I know I will play it and enjoy it as I love playing ESO. Nothing knocked it out of the park for me, but they were trying to be vague as possible so as not to spoil too much and I can appreciate that and understand it.

Nice to see the vampire getting new feeding animation. Hopefully we can now disguise the look. :p

They keep bring back the original characters and expanding on them which is nice but getting a little old as well.

It’s far too “let’s all talk about we are killing it and not at all about all the *** going on last year”
It’s optimistic, to the point it gets naive. Launching of new content, without fixing issues with the former, is making a point. I as one of the old players are just not important, not interesting, not of any value.
As a European I’m already somewhat of a b-list customer, as they made perfectly clear regarding the server stability.

As always it’s breathtaking scenes, music that make the body shiver with goosebumps, I’m guessing interesting storylines, an area I really would like to explore, but I’m not buying it. I haven’t bought elsweyr yet either.

I’m probably putting the game on a hold. I’m getting the sense that this year will be as troubled as the last. Simply because of the way this game is managed. It’s all about launching, all about the show, all about the shiny come-see-me and not very much attention to detail or fixing existing (rather game breaking) issues

With them being dated and character specific if I'm going to do them I'm going to do them in order.

I like what i am hearing about this chapter. More excited about this chapter than Elsweyr and i considered Skyrim to be the worst TES i played not the best like most fans.

It has something for everyone, literally. If you dont think it has something for you, then either you werent paying attention or this game probably isnt really your cup of tea. Even the people crying about " They skipped PVP, again" got stuff.

And every should win with performance improvements. I would say im optimistic about this year. Lets hope its not a repeat of last year though.

    Disappointed.

    - Nothing new for Cyrodiil / PvP,

    - No difficulty slider for overland content. Once again, we're gonna get new zones where you can roam without being attacked by strong enemies. Everything will once again be 2 shoted. (remember how easy are all the fights from the main quest line in Elsweyr... It's a shame).

    - No engine upgrade on meshes / physics. We need animated boobs, haircuts and robes (and cloaks to be added !) to be on line with modern MMORPGs.

Not surprised with Vampire getting re-VAMPed, given that werewolf received similar treatment not too long ago, and given that ZOS is just further capitalizing on the previous success of TES V: Skyrim. Let's face it. It's Skyrim. Skyrim is lightless and cold. There will always be vampires, no matter what timeline. ZOS is beyond predictable.

Still no mention of the ever-frozen and abandoned Champion Point system, for over a year now. When will it, or vertical progression in general, get re-VAMPed?

Same stale annual formula of Q1 P2W dungeon DLC > Q2 Chapter DLC > Q3 P2W dungeon DLC > Q4 small story zone DLC.
Dungeon DLCs should be unlinked from the season-story/theme and eliminated from the quarterly-release formula. There are way too many DLC dungeons now. Plus, the chapters seem to get smaller and smaller with less features & systems as time goes by, while the mountain barriers get bigger and more inconveniencing.

Replace the Dungeon DLC quarters with actual Quality-of-Life updates and bug fixes, such as Housing 2.0 with new systems and features and a proper way shrine-like exit, create proper Guild Halls that guilds can bid on and rent or outright buy (instead of using some random guildie's house), allow guild names to show above character names without ugly guild tabards ruining appearances, and create/develop numerous other new features and systems that aren't locked behind a pay wall like Jewelry Crafting was with Summerset, etc.

Fix the annoying weapon-swapping & mounting cosmetic bugs.

And does Cyrodiil combat / performance even need to be mentioned...?
