They announced we get the bat pet, but didnt make the 150k for the "snow bear plunge"

How did they count 80k? According to twitchtracker the peak was at around 48k viewers https://twitchtracker.com/bethesda/streams/36681998144

But I bet they count unique logins. And it was considerably less than last year's 135k!

Ok, that makes sense. Even though someone in another thread said there were only around 2k on each of the other two platforms. I'm glad that players who wanted the bat got it in the end.

This looks like final proof that this year was really bad for ESO. Honestly I'm not surprised, performance problems, idiocy of current combat team and poor quality content (like re-using all assets for Dragonhold dlc that we still needed to pay full price) was a little too much for only one year

After a very disappointing 2019 it was entirely predictable viewership would be less than 50% the previous year's numbers.

Not sure what they were expecting.

The 80K was across all streaming channels and that was easily met. They did no meet the upper one. We will all still get the bat pet. Add in that 5:00 PM on a weekday prevents many people from having access to the streams and the numbers are not bad at all.

Well stream for Elsweyr was at the same hourif I remember correctly and we got 135k there only on twitch. So even if we count all sources for this stream and elsweyr one I think we can see a huge drop in interest which is a bad sign

I watched the vast majority of the stream. I missed 10 minutes getting my shopping in and the rest I only saw the visual really as Thursday is the evening I always hang out with my Son and that takes priority. It all looked great though, I'm going to rewatch it after.

We got to ~52k on Twitch, 1.6-2k on Mixer and 1.2-2k on Facebook by the end of the stream, I watched the numbers. I have no idea for Youtube tbh. This still puts us under 60k. @Czekoludek

I lasted five to ten minutes then turned it off. The cringy overly enthusiastic (some of which are paid to be there) crowd was too much to take. It just seemed so insincere and forced.

Yep. 5 minutes for me until boredom set in. Sounds like they again hosted an open bar for employees before the event. :/

10pm on a school night in the UK; even later across most of Europe.

Not surprised they did not get huge numbers. Some people have to get up early for work and so would not have time to watch live.

Those numbers are damning... was it really 135k last year?

Faces on the employees is as if everything is fine and they’ve used to same 1 year recipe this year as if it’s a recipe for success but many players have left...

... Didn't the say problems in the european servers were due high population? And they go ahead and choose a time zone that most europeans cant watch? I'm in America time zone but I think a better time and day could've been chosen if they wanted to reach more viewers.

True, the employees of ZoS were asking questions and when one guy from the audience wanted to ask a question they stopped him from asking and made fun of them...lol!

It was truly a cringefest panel. Even blizzard does a decent job in delivering Q&A or maybe they don't have anyone to represent like WoW, hence they brought sypherpk to Bethesda panel after he quit the game along time ago.
Atleast, they could have done like how FFXIV Devs does but there game is more popular than ESO and they show respect to their audience while Bethesda it's a no-no, they have to show their attitude first, right?!

In that panel, I really missed Eric Worbel. He was a decent guy.

Elsweyr is such a terrible chapter that I even turn off the volume when I re log after a hard crash because the elsweyr music in the tittle screen just ends up triggering me even more. I don't even want to listen to it, it has such a depressing tone to it too summarizing elsweyr perfectly. Elsweyr is basically lag lag lag lag lag lag LAG LAG LAG LAG performance went down substantially during this update.

Also people don't like it when you just make insane nerfs to their characters and stupid decisions to combat like adding ultimate cast delays and with their infinite wisdom they nerfed dots to the ground despite PTS telling them it's too much and that healing is also too much and for some reason they also decided to nutter the nightblade. Great so now we got people who are literally unkillable because heals are too high and there is not enough damage anymore. Things were going great on murkmire other than DOTS being too high on PVP, Good job. ESO finally seemed to be getting somewhere and it all went downhill again with what I mentioned above.

The low viewership compared to past ones is not a surprise to me. It went as expected.

Comparing to last year it was pretty low. Last year total amount of viewers on twitch was 1,2M this year it was 260k so basically almost 5 times less. This year 2 hours long stream have similar numbers to 2017 stream that lasted less then 1 hour.

    This year data https://twitchtracker.com/bethesda/streams/36681998144
    2017 Morrowind announcment https://twitchtracker.com/bethesda/streams/24395721104
    2018 Summerset announcment https://twitchtracker.com/bethesda/streams/28018595328
    2019 Elsweyr announcment https://twitchtracker.com/bethesda/streams/32200112160

In general pretty weak stream when compared to similar ones in previous years.

I was still at work when it started, but I watched it later, after work.
