@Turelus Stability and latency could be absolutely perfect, and it still wouldn't work in ESO until they redesign their animation system so that damage is dealt when an attack connects, rather than right at the start of an animation. This would also fix animation cancelling. Reactive playstyles like parrying and timed blocks are impossible right now, because if you see an attack starting then it's already too late. The damage has already been dealt and now you're just watching the animation play out (the reason players realized they could cancel that animation into a different attack, because the animation stage is irrelevant to dealing damage).It would be fun and interesting, something to make blocking at the right moment more tactical than just holding block.
However as others have said unless they can get stability and latency at a level which won't cause issues then it's unlikely to be fluid enough to work.
Parrying, counter attacks. Like dark souls or bloodborn or sekiro parrying with the cool animations and stuns. Do you want it in eso? And why?
Encourages observation of enemy attacks and right timing to land a one shot. Skilled play.
