You can use some “Find and replace” tool on Your SavedVariables folder and addons will be ok.
Just remember to do this before You 1st time run game after userid change.
    Can you elaborate?

BEFORE opening the game after changing your account name......

    > Download and install Notepad++ if you haven't already.
    >Go to ...\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables
    > Right click a lua file, select "Open with...", choose Notepad++ and mark the "Always use this app to open .lua files". Click OK.
    > With that lua file opened in Notepad++, click on "Search" at the top, click on "Find In Files...".
    > When the Find in Files window opens, make sure you're on the "Find in Files" tab, and in the "Find What" field, type your old account name. In the "Replace with" field, type in your new @name.
    > At the end of the "Directory" field, there's a button with " ... " on it. Click the button.
    > Browse For your saved variables folder (...\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables) and select it.
    > Click the "Replace in Files" button.
    > A message stating, "Are you sure you want to replace all occurances" etc, etc. Click "OK".
    > You'll get a "replace in files progress" window.
    >Once that finishes goes away, you're done. Your addons should now work with your new account name.

I had to figure this out myself since I'm changing my account name to something more uni-sex due to sexual harassment and sexism. :#

    Good luck. Happy holidays.

You should ask Support about this.

Everything in game will still work fine. If you were blocked or blacklisted by somebody or a guild, you will still be so after you change your ID. Everything from guild memberships to friends will be as normal.

As somebody else said, add-ons are typically tied to your user ID, so those will have to be updated (either by doing a find and replace) or just resetting everything, if you want a clean slate on them.

@bethsheba If you are in any trading guild, please inform your guildmaster about your name change. If you change your @name, it will erase all sales and donation data from the addons GMs are using.

Yes, you'll still be in your guilds, but your sales record will just go poof :)
    Edit = Typos ... as usual. <;D
