How is the drop rates for the Opal and Non Opal

What do people think the % chance of getting the following items is?
Opal Monster Mask Motif from final boss.
Monster Mask Motif from final boss (not opal).
I dont think anyone will know the answer but I was curious what people feel the drop rate is and their experiences.

thadjarvis✭✭✭✭Think I ran about 10+/-1 yesterday. Including the one automatic weapon drop I wound up with 3 weapons and 3 helmets. Not large enough sample size but maybe you'll get more data.0

✭✭✭I've done a *** ton of farming these both this time around and in the time the event was up last time. For the opal masks most of us agree that the chance is around 50/50 -- similar to a motif drop in a non HM DLC dungeon. I have not farmed the non opal ones.0 -

thadjarvis✭✭✭✭O non-opals. In the runs I did last night 1 did drop in my groups (so 1/40). You'd need a pretty big sample size to determine the drop rate to any accuracy. That does seem about right though as the helm price was 2ish million. 2mil/40 = 50k which seems close to Motif farming average accounting for how much faster the base games can be completed (save some brand new drop).0

Best way is probably to farm fungal grotto 1 in normal.

✭✭Four days into the event and I am only missing two opal masks and have gotten and sold multiple copies of masks I already had. Last night in ICP all four members of my group got Opal Lord Warden's mask out of the same run. So the chance seems pretty high.Edited by Mindcr0w on December 6, 2020 9:37PM0 -

✭So far I have about 18/28 of the new Opals and have been getting deals, paying no more than 30-40 for some non-Opal pages. I think the monster styles you see in zone will change depending on if the pledge is for one of the current styles (ie. there are tons of Swarm Mother, ATM... but those will be more rare in a few days). Not bad for like, Day 4?
