Why keep the Launcher running?

I know it does the updating but is there any need for it apart from that. I run the game from eso.app as the launcher sits there wallowing in 260+ Mb of memory - not a huge amount but why tie it up?

✭✭nope i only run launcher for updates i run game directly from the App 99% of the time1 -
Greenleaf27✭✭Same here launcher is kept closed except on update days, I still find the game just crashes from the launcher anyway0
