I don't even consider AF as source of geodes. Just go get your tier 1 reward with 25k AP on a 30 campaign. 50 geodes easy. Surf a Zerg 30-40 minutes on home campaign, thank me later. Repeat with all alts, geodes for days. Never again will you be thirsty for these.

This is what I do, but sometimes my alliance is screwing around and not pushing any nearby keeps, so 30-40 minutes can easily turn into over an hour. But yeah i've got 69 50-crystal geodes on my crafter from doing 12 characters each month. If only getting the gear that I need to transmute was that easy.

you don't only get the 50 crystal geodes at end of campaign, but also the geodes from the rewards for the worthy (every 20.000 Alliance points).
Keep those in your mailbox, so you can open 1 each day to get 4-15 additional crystals (usually 4-5).

Do not open more than 1 reward each day, as the chance to get a second geode (accountwide) is almost 0.

If you don't find enough people to attack keeps, defend outposts like Nikel. With a staff or bow you are relatively safe from direct attacks if you stay above the main door.

Alternatively use a different campaign, on xbox NA I prefer the non-faction locked 30 days. less players than on faction lock, but enough to gain Alliance points quickly, as there is more "movement" in the gameplay (keeps are more often lost and won), while the fully populated campaign is kind of position war (defense too strong to conquer new keeps).
