Stuck in combat glitch ever getting fixed?

It seems like this is some sort of running joke by ZOS that is insanely frustrating in both PVP and PVE content, not being able to swap out gear and skills or simply not being able to go through to the next area in PVE because of some random ad that is some how still agroed from 5 rooms before is beyond annoying. Is there ever going to be a proper fix or will this just get added to the long list of unfixed poor mechanics that this game is becoming more and more known for?

I honestly don't know if they know how to fix these bugs, for example the bug where you stand and run on your mount while it moves have been in the game for as long as I can remember and they have never fixed it.

They probably have so many bandaids for the game in place that they are afraid if they rip of one in the lower layers, they'll cause an even worse bug for example something with their beloved crown store (God forbid...)

Crown store and eso plus subscription seems to be about the only glitches that are a high priority , I remember a week ago there was a banner across the top of the forum noting a eso plus issue, I’ve never seen one for any gameplay issues

Does that surprise you? The Crown Store and ESO+ are two of their main sources of income, so obviously they'll have an interest to fix those as fast as possible. Gameplay issues on the other hand... well, let's just say it's pretty unlikely that they lead to a loss of money for ZOS, unless things get really bad and not resolved, so that people actually start to leave. Most of these things, though, like the infamous "in combat" bug, are occurences that annoy people and have them complain, but I don't believe, many of us would leave the game for good and/or cancel our ESO+ subscription because of it. Therefore, they're not priorities.

I agree with you that that's not the way it should be, definitely not, especially when it comes to worse bugs/glitches than this particular bug or the running-on-mounts thing, but sadly I don't think it'll change anytime soon either.

In pvp its clearly visible where problem is

When you attack player, you are in combat with him. But if that player is in combat with someone else, you are stuck in combat until person you attacked to is out of combat.

It mostly happens if you dare to attack mighty ballgroup. If they farm your stupid allies and you attack that blob, you are stuck in combat
It happens when you are solo so it isnt group issue
It happens when you are far from keep or resource so it isn't aggro thing of guards

All blame is to ballgroups

Edit: just fix that damned thing by adding out of combat timer. No damage received or done in whole minute = out of combat

Get rid of in combat all together or make it not insane. Same for battlegrounds if you cannot stop the servers crashing you must stop the deserter penalty. Zos you must not punish the player for any reason that anything happens on Zos end. Make the game fun please.

I am so ready for them to do SOMETHING with this. Problem is, I think they have let it go as people were changing stuff when they ddidnt want them to. Would be nice though, if you havent taken damage in a minute or 2, you can exit combat.
