Air atronach+literally one morph of any damage skill changed to stamina...not the matriarch.

How anyone bothers to play stamsorc to 5 stars outside of any grouped content in pvp is beyond me.

Like I’m trying. I really am trying to play my main.

Is this just a racing game where you just pick the fastest car instead of an rpg where you experience your characters progression; instead you just pick whatever gives you the least amount of headache to experience whatever content you need to do instead.

@EL3ZD33 Granted, im not quite at 1 star on any character, but added up i have over 5 stars collectively lol. My Stamsorc is one of my newer characters and the one with the lowest playtime but has gained ap super fast.

I would love to get more options, but Stamsorc is and has been a strong option for a long time in pvp.

To get 5 stars 'fast' you're gonna need to group up or no life it though.

As far as viability, cheaper ults, ***negate***, and the lack of class skills can actually be considered a strength, because this gives Stamsorc more versatility in playstyles not being required to slot x number of class skills.

But i still would like more options :)

    What's your build?

I don’t want 5 stars fast I just want to be more viable.

Like every single other class can apply more pressure, have more defence and more healing. Even sometimes all combined and every other aspect would be the same or equal to a stamsorc.

I mean like sure, a negate build or a cleave build in a group is great but playing solo it honestly feels like the worst choice for a main.

Like why even have achievements if I should just be a Necro for pve or literally any other class for pvp if I want to play and have a much more fun, enjoyable and easier time.

Troll king, seventh, shield breaker, DSA bow, orc.

Sometimes do blackrose dual wield but the bow is better for open world and provides more consistent pressure regardless.

What do you use? I could probably guess to be honest I’ve tried damn near everything without moving onto defile setups.

Like I don’t even know why I like stamsorc I just do but it’s so bad compared to literally everything else. The only thing I could think of that would be worse to be would be a stamblade in the current meta as you literally can’t take much exposure from anything past 3 seconds.

Personally i run Dw/SnB, Orc, 7th/shackle/bloodspawn typically, sometimes shackle/bloodspawn+variety. Heavy armor has been my preference lately.

The thing about bow on Stamsorc is you want to be close- the more ticks hurricane has, the more crits, the more healing. So i have never liked bow on sorc.

To me, having both melee weapons, while it is sometimes annoying not having any ranged options, is fine, because i have plenty of room for a gapcloser. I use invasion, as it doubles as a cc - i want to be in the middle of it all anyway, so gapclose->roll dodge will even give more chances for hurricane to crit.

On top of that, using blade cloak, you basically double up on your hurricane dot. So even more chances to crit. I don't even have high crit, or run gold food usually, but between health recovery, crit surge, vigor, and dark deal i have plenty of healing.

With SnB, you also gain the spell wall ult, which is super cheap, and i use it both defensively to gtfo and offensively to have a few seconds to go HAM godmode. Frontbar i slot dawnbreaker (cheap, aoe stun good damage) negate, or the atronach depending on the situation. But i always have the SnB ult.

Another benefit of running this type of setup is you don't need streak, so the little mag you do have can be used solely for dark deal spam (which is also a good heal) and crit surge. Also the bound dagger thing, though honestly i just slot it for passives.

I don't have/use any of the DSA, BRP, or maelstrom weapons, other than an okayish build with asylum 2h+SnB, had super high damage but i prefer DW on sorc.

Bow/Dw can work, but bows are overall just pretty weak aside from the roll dodge passive...which you don't need as a Stamsorc using quick cloak. Other classes dont have near the built in speed as an orc sorc, so bow makes sense on them - this is all my opinion and probably depends on your playstyle of course.

I have heard shield breaker doesn't calculate its damage correctly, but even if it did there are far better choices. I would start with changing that to NMA or hundings, or possibly some other stam set...but shield breaker is the main pain point i would say.

And i agree, Stamsorc is one of the most fun classes, but i also believe it is second to only to dk as far as tankiness

You think a stamwarden or stamnecro is less tanky than a stamsorc? That’s a very easily arguable point.

What’s your burst rotation? It’s a little bit vague what you have that has a tooltip higher than 7k other than BA and Dawnbreaker which won’t kill anyone except a potato on your own. Do you use deep slash, blood craze?

Stamcro i can't personally say, but my stamdens are both nord, which are inherently tanky, and without shimmering shield warden loses a lot of tankiness IMO.

But yeah, sorry->invasion, deep slash til people get low, usually 3x is plenty provided hurricane and blade cloak is up, then spin to win.

I forget to activate armaments often until someones tanky, so its just a little added pressure, but it does help.

    My bars are:

Front bar hurricane, crit surge, arms, flex/blade cloak, spin2win, negate/dbreaker

Backbar vigor, deal, arms, invasion, deep slash(aoe morph)/puncture in certain situations mostly for the protection bonus, usually slash though.

Negate is good for siege battles, otherwise dawnbreaker. Invasion->slash->db->spin is plenty of burst, and if you take care to sustain, you can play the wait it out battle with hurricane, blade cloak, crit surge, debuff from slash, and the SnB ulti. People get low before they realize you've started the spin cycle.

Note: I also like double axes, but at least one axe, with one poison one disease enchant, on SnB bar stamina steal.

Jewelry all damage glyphs, and either robust or infused is pretty equal.

    Hmm sounds good thanks actually.

How do you find dealing with snares/melee or heavy ranged targets

No problem! I probably enjoy theorycraft just as much as actually playing lol.

As I've said elsewhere, I've though about making some properly formatted and easy to digest written guides, as most things in eso are video, and i hate video. But i don't know if there's enough people that would read it to really make the effort worth it.

As far as snares, they can become a problem, since i don't use a removal skill and i just slot alliance pots, but usually with major/minor expedition, orc, SnB ult, i can get some LOS to heal up if needed.

Range spam usually isnt a problem, SnB ult. I use it liberally. Or hit em with invasion, to stun, and slash is a snare...thats usually enough to make any ranged spam go full gtfo mode
