vMA scorepushers opintion needed - whats the best stam gear these days?

Back in the days while i was doing vMA for the first time on my stam dk the optimal gear was:

1. VO frontbar
2. AY
3. Maelstrom bow

I started doing vMA again on my stamplar and absolutely love the class - much due to the effectivness/how awsome Jabs is. I put together this build:

1. VO body
2. NMA jewlery and weps
3. Selenes ( awsome synergy with Jabs)

What kind og gear is concidered most optimal these days? I am interested in pushing scores eventually so opinion of someone who does vMA for score is much appreciated.

Assuming you´re on PC and want to go for score-runs in vMA, you should be ready to use multiple setup during your run, and use some addons like Dressing Room to swap between them.

All will depend on whether you´re fighting bosses or adds but also what stage you´re at. In certain stages using a prismatic damage glyph will be more beneficial (basically where you´re fighting dadric mobs). On bosses you generally want to use Balorgh together with as much ultimate as possible in order to burst them down ASAP. If you´re really after a score run you need to be able to skip the balcony mechanic on the last boss on stage 9, which requires you to know when to pick up the golden ghosts (which is quite hard to time IMO).

If you're trying to push scores i.e R1 then you'll be swapping gear almost every round, there is no single-setup for top score runs anymore.

What makes it harder for anyone new to push scores is the fact that you often change enchants between rounds (2 sets of the same gear) to account for a bit more health, enemy weakness etc; The theory crafting for VMA was insane in 2016, let alone now.

Anyway:

Slimecraw, NM, VO, TFS, War Machine, Balorghs, Briarhart, Spriggans are commonly used sets, the theory of what you use and what second pieces with health/poison or whatever you want is up to you to figure out to push the scores.

It really depends how far you want to go.

You can get 600k+ without ever swapping gear in vMA, but just something as simple is swapping in Relequen on boss fights can easily save you 3-4 mins.

VO and NMA is a good "go to" setup for vMA.

The top score pushers usually don't share their specific setups but watching their channel you can often get a good idea of the skills and gear they're using, and also when they swap.

Edit: you probably still want TFS for a lot of fights if you're playing stamina.

@Qbiken That dude was absolutely a beast. Had no idea such dmg was even possible to achieve! Pre stamNB nerfs that is.

Supernatural was doing 600ks in 2017 when he was on Xbox and has been the top stamblade almost(if not factually) every patch, regardless of nerfs; he's a freak of VMA, legit.

If you're just going for 600k, just learn/figure out your patterns, spawns and get used to pre-dotting.

I always thought it was 40s = 2k score but I think someone corrected me that it's ~1.8k / 40s so your target is roughly 29 minutes for a 600k score, provided no deaths.

Yikes! Relequen in vMA?? You should be able to nuke the bosses before getting full stacks. I would think wm and nmg for classes that don't have major fracture, otherwise tfs?
