It like rains every 10 to 15 minutes now (In every zome). What's the deal?

✭✭✭✭✭Rain is generated by your client and is a completely random event. And by random I truly mean random as you don't know when it'll start raining and when it'll stop.
It does make for some odd conversations as some people think the weather is server side when it isn't. Like when someone says something along the lines of "Why won't this rain stop?!" and another person goes "What rain?"PC NA - Ceyanna Ashton - Breton Vampire MagDK16 -

✭✭✭✭✭It is annoying sometimes, but like @Vevvev said it's random. So you could get constant rain for a while, every time you play for several in-game days even, then no rain for just as long, or it could change constantly.
During the betas I genuinely started to think they'd set it up so it was always raining in Daggerfall as a bit of a dig at Western Europe which inspired the area. Lab3360✭✭✭✭✭It seems like it rains waaay more since they killed the draw distance. It looks very hazy all the time every where including desert. Then when you get close, buildings and vegetation begin to pop up out of nowhere.0

This is really interesting, I didn't know that.
I mean it is logical that weather is rendered client side as all other effects but I find a little strange that zone weather status is not server side.
I dunno, maybe because there is no need to sync all shards then.
I wonder what happens in a party, is one party member seeing rain while other is not.1 -

I have rain wetness turned off, but I still don't like the rain, lightning, or thunder.
I wish rainy weather was much more rare. Or that we could opt out of experiencing it on our end. Especially since it's client-side anyway.(PC-NA) @LoneStar29110 -

That's just curiosity, on my end. Otherwise, I LOVE me my rain. Sometimes, I'd really love me my heavy snow in N Wrothgar and Windhelm.... a few flakes doesn't get it folks.... Winter is the season I wait for all year. I LOVE IT. IRL and in game.0 -
