Off Balance and Heavy Attacking

I have some questions about off balance and heavy attacking in general.

So the way I understand how it works is if someone is off balance and you heavy attack them they get stunned.

So here are my questions, or things I want to clarify:
- medium attacks won’t stun
- what’s the fastest heavy attack for mag? Ice and Fire are aimed and not that great I’ve found, Lightning and Resto are much better. Resto seems a little shorter than lightning
- You only get mag returned if complete the heavy attack for both lightning and resto I believe, is this correct?
- If someone interrupts your heavy attack with say crushing shock, you get stunned I believe?

Reason I’m asking is I was looking at the warden bird attack. Has anyone tried a MagWarden build based around heavy attacking? What was the best set to use?

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

Best sets for warden HA build are, skoria, unaunted infiltrator, torug and vma lit staff. Resto undaunted infiltrator back bar. You can change torug with undaunted unweaver and use the stam bird.
I play both options but in high mmr i find torug better.

    Medium attacks do not stun.
Resto and lit medium attack do not return resources. Resto is 1.5 sec, lit is 1.8 sec if you cancel the animation at the end, otherwise it is 2 sec.
Heavy attack is uninterruptible. Someone should use CC on you to interrupt you.
    Because I can!

Oh wow, I didn’t know there was HA builds for warden or anyone had tried it. I was thinking I’d get replies from pet Sorcs.

Do you ever have difficulty lining up the bugs with the HA? I was doing pve and noticed bugs - HA - bugs line up nicely and thought it could work in pvp. So finishing the HA on someone with off balance already on them can stun to make sure the bugs land I take it. Any tips you can give to setup a spec to try it?

One thing I was considering, there’s a vampire Ult that gives a free charge. Stick with perma or do you think it can be used to stick on someone as a Warden because the class has no charge?

I play only BGs and you dont need charge. I use frozen gate too pull enemies and destroy their grouping or when we are in close fight to immobilize and debuff them.

That build will not work for solo open world in Cyro, but is great in small group and excel in zerg surfing. I use perma frost in BGs. I find it better than Northern storm. Plus when I switch to my magicka Azure build I need permafrost for the double proc.
    Because I can!

Oh damn, I didn’t know that. What did you prefer when you tried it?

Ice staff plus desert rose with mist could be fun, perma already gives chilled though so it would be a bit of a waste of the ice staff status effect. Ice staff for block casting in a pinch. Fire could work, but the class is already so aoe based IDK if that’s a good idea.

I had a Warden before but I turned her into a Stamwarden, and am basicly starting from scratch. I’ll have to level frozen gate.

So I like vampire and have already leveled it. I’m considering desert rose + NMA, or Necro plus NMA. Which do you think would be better? Additionally I’m considering Chudan to make space for mist form or invig drain, good or bad idea? Minor protection is so good, but I feel like something has to give to fit a lot of abilities I want.

Last question, do DW mediums stun as well?

I have used a flame staff. But i had mostly problems against fast opponents because of the 7m range requirement + doge...
Chudan on a magden is bad. Minor protection is too good to give up!
Ice/Flame-staff, Bow, 2h and SnB medium attacks stun Off-Balance enemy. Why should it be different on DW? :#
