So finally did Zenimax understand how a Nordic style works?

Seriously, the Skaal style is above average. Did you see the texture of the ax?

The size of the shield? His details? Finally we have a large, simple round shield in ESO!

I hope this design is recurring at Skyrim launch, I was very surprised!

Any guy who can wield what looks like a 20-25 pound axe one handed doesn’t need a weapon to win battles. At least it’s not a ridiculous two headed axe.

And why there is a string on the ax I wonder?

It depends on what fight you are talking about, considering there are monsters in Tamriel. With a human? Yes, with a dragon, gryphon or something? Naah

Yeah probably won't need it to beat up a Worm Cultist but it'd probably be handy to have against say a troll or a daedroth.

LOL. But this is a game where I can summon a glowing bear to maul a spectral skeleton then ride off on a cat made of ice. Physics are irrelevant.

I don't get it. Most weapons and shields have that quality of detail, and some even more beauty.

Honestly, you are presenting something as a first timer when in fact ZOS already excels at details on weapons/armor.

We may like or not a design, but details and art work are always on them.

Ive been waiting for a more nordic style shield that didn't have any weird shape. Just a simple big round shield that looked like it had a nordic appearance.

In fact, I'm saying this is the first time Zenimax has been able to grasp the essence of Nordic style. Something rustic and simple. But practical and beautiful.

The Nordic style at ESO is pretty weird, we have those giant horned armor full of paraphernalia. When you see Nordic armor in Skyrim, for example, they are more stuffed with cloth and the like.

Yes, overall the game's armor is interesting. But I have never seen a Nordic armor in this game that resembled their original premise. It has always been one of the biggest problems for me at ESO since the 2013 beta.
