Heavy Armor StamSorc

Hello, I am tryign to improve pvp skills, mainly smallscale and duelling. Would anyone be kind enough to share some Heavy armour stamsorc builds please? Most of the builds Ive seen are medium - Id like to stick with heavy until I am better at surviving :-)

I was going to start with New Moon and TK, open to suggestions though.

Any help gratefully received!

In my experience everyone has their own preference for sets depending on their playstyle, but i would suggest not using new moon if you don't know the class well.

If you want to anyway, use bone pirate or battlefield acrobat to help sustain.

Basically, any combo of these sets is probably fine=hundings, shackle, hulking draugr, spriggans, 7th legion, fury, ravager, truth. TK, bloodspawn, balorgh, or any of the proc dmg monster sets.

The specifics (enchants, jewelry traits, weapon traits, etc) depends on your race Imo.

I'm personally a fan of SnB+Dw on my sorc, but i know a lot of people like 2h, or bows.

Skills that are basically required, and how my bars are set-

Hurricane, surge, armaments, flex (caltrops/streak/blade cloak personally), flex (spin to win on my builds) ulti-dawnbreaker, negate, atro

Vigor, dark deal, armaments, flex (invasion), flex (puncture/slash/caltrops/streak) ulti-SnB ult, dawnbreaker, negate, atro

The first 3 slots pretty much never change for me, besides slotting the stupid stam pet over armaments just because.

There’s a lot of viable Heavy armor builds and @Gatdangmayne listed quite a few that work very well in any of those combinations. I typically run TK/BriarHeart and 7th Legion on the body (the lack of crit might seem strange with briar heart but it feels pretty effective for me). I don’t worry so much about regen with dark deal and being able to reposition with streak. Outside of that, NMA is definitely killer, and a lot more forgiving on stam sorc with dark deal, if you want FotM you can always back bar a 2 piece blessing of potentates (sword and shield is the best but really any weapon) for a little bit more survivability.

I would stress learning the class and other classes will benefit you more than just following the meta tho. It’s definitely a good place to start — but understanding how other classes work will often times be more beneficial than the sets you’re wearing (tho those obviously contribute to it).
