JJBoomer✭✭✭✭✭so really weird. i did a speed test and my internet is sitting at 700+ mbs download, and 8 ping. but in game my ping is 150+ while doing nothing. is that because of the Akami thing?0 -

There should be a ping counter and fps counter option in the settings, it is all in game on PC no addon or 'command' function required, never tried console though, but you should check the settings.0 -

Could this increase in PING be due to any monitoring code added recently or reviewing of database files behind the scenes for the recent GOLD issue?
It seems to be a wide spread performance issue.(Math before coffee, except after 3, is not for me)0 -

Before this maintenance I had a ping around 200, after today's maintenance it's 400+++ ping in every map!
I just reinstaled the game, clean install, reset my conection, contacted my ISP... nothing helped!
It's unplayable at 400++++ ping, I hope ZOS do something!
I also opened a ticket, let's see what they'll answer.0 -

I don't believe Customer Service actually reads tickets. All they know how to do is cut and paste. They don't take context into account even after it is presented to them. ✭✭✭My latency is actually better on EU server, by more than half. FWIW, I live on the east coast in the US.- Before maintenance today, PC/NA = 85-110
- After maintenance today, PC/NA = 300-350
- After maintenance today, PC/EU = 140-160

Why is my connection being routed through Australia?
First screen shot is ping in game. Sitting at 340. Normally during the middle of the night I am at 150. This is 430 am EST. During the day with light server lag I am usually around 160 - 200. With heavy server congestion i'm 250+

Second screen shot is tracert to ESO server. Clearly, I am being routed through Australia. Why? Ping is horrible with time outs.

There is a problem with ESO routing. With other games like WoW I am getting a normal ping of 70ms. Google is giving me normal pings. Your servers are located in Texas. I can easily get 90 ping to Texas. I just don't get it. Why does this game have such terrible latency performance issues for so many years? It's bad enough that server performance is horrendous, now we have to suffer with routing issues?
