What the Future (of this game) holds!

What an amazing year this one was. Necromancers, although so very late, it finally arrived, we can't say that for all MMORPGs, specially those that are older than time but some how managed to stay barely alive for mythological reasons and that are due to their debts but their brand is too cocky to admit it, but I won't mention any names here, if they want to sink, thats fine by me. Blizzard.

Now, with hatred out of the way, I just want to focus on good things. Thanks to ESO, I can finally play a decent good MMORPG. The Necromancer class is perfect, although it lacks minions (from ALL sizes, types and duration) it is pretty damn good nonetheless. And for that, I salute you.

Since I already have what I wanted, I don't care anymore what the future classes will be. For THAT, I leave to you.

Now, for the real reason why I wanted to create this discussion.

What are you most excited to see? What do you want to be further added (besides other classes)? What do you want to see in further expansions?

WEAPON SKILL LINE

It goes without saying that more weapon skills is the first priority. If my theory is correct, which is based on nothing, we should be getting "One Hand and Magic" pretty close. For first, as for the Necros, before this amazing class got lunched, the Npcs that got lucky to have this class, got some new flashy abilities. With that in mind, I noticed that some NPCs during my Campaign on Elsweyr, had equipped just one weapon (a one handed sword on most cases), and with that, they had new abilities, like some sort of healing channeled skill and bursting flames from the ground and even coating it's own weapon in flames as well. And since it is not a secret anymore, we will bring our undead (if you are a necro) to skyrim next year, which was the First game of the Elder Scrolls Saga that let the players equip just one weapon and a magic spell on the other (Correct me if am wrong, veterans), we will probably have this new weapon skill this exp, if not on the other.

But besides that, I really want to see Crossbow in this game. I dunno if it is possible due to lore, but I really want it. I even don't mind if it shares the same weapon skill as bow, I just really prefer cross-bows over bows.

Scythe would be awesome too. Some sort of weapon-blood magic type.

And what do you guys feel about wands?

World Skills

VAMPIRE SKILL LINE REWORK. Please. OH MY THANOS. PLEASE. Werewolves is soooo much cooler than vampires, which is ironic since they are a big alive fur ball while we are bloody undeads whereas the blood don't even flow through you anymore! (if you are stage 4). Not that they are just much more overpowered than us (my opinion) but they have more lot of cool abilities than us!. We just have three, and one of them is a lousy ult.
I just want MORE blood magic, thralls management, death hounds if possible (From Dawnguard dlc like), and to summon a big ### GARGOYLE!

Companions

I don't remember about Oblivion (didn't play Morrowind), but Skyrim sure did have Lydia! I won't even bring Star Wars the Old Republic in to this topic, but since I started talking about thralls MANAGEMENT, what are your feelings towards having a NPC Companion in a MMORPG?
It could be everything, from Undeads to Daedras. From Mercenaries to Friends and Loved ones. From Tamed beasts to dwemer constructs. And maybe even sub-races! (globins & minotaurs) And they could dialogs to make the whole thing even more imerssive, like "Lydia would you be so kind to carry all this dragon bones on your iventory so I can carry more cool stuf? Or else I will just fus-ro-dah your ### on the throat of the world?" and like "Undead minion, wait behind that tree over there while I go on a shopping spree in this little village".
It could be fun.

PROFESSION

Bard. It could also fit on World Skills and Guilds, but...

Dwemer Scholler. Imagine, farming dwerming runners from scraps and scrolls to forge and tinker your own stuff! We should hurry in this one, we could even make a class out of this as far as I care.
We just be firster over WoW, just to *** Blizz more lol
. But serious, more Dwemer tinkerer things. Please.

NECROMANCY

YEAH, we can't have enough of this! What about an actually NECROMANCY profession? Like farming corpses, making your own bone constructs, crafting your custom zombie, and all of that? It would be so amazing that I needed to play this with tissue on my nose to keep the blood inside from excitement!!!

Justice System

I don't want to take it down. I like the concept. But I would love more if it actually live up to it's name. LIKE JUSTICE. Werewolf transformation should all so be a CRIME Ability. Also dadric minions and Walking on a city if you are at stage 4 of vampirism and you are not all covered from head to toes.

Plus, if we really have Necromancy as a profession skill line, it would be so great to have a safe heaven for us. A Necropolis. Some sort of hidden lab for Necros, Werewolves, Daedric Summoners and Vampires. Just like Thieves and Assassins have their Guilds, Mother and Outlaw refuge.

This is my list. What is yours? What do you want?

Wands are for Harry Potter wizards and witches.

I'll take the TES magic weapons we haven't gotten yet: one hand and spell, scrolls and staves for Alteration, Illusion, and Conjuration.

I know. But it is a shame to let the stereotype of Wands being only to Harry Potter and alike. But in another hand, I don't remember seeing it on any of TES games, so I am neutral about wands.

In the end, all I want to see is more "magic" based damage weapons, more variety over staffs.

AND more weapons of "diseases/poison" based damage for stamina. Like a Staff OR a cross-bow! :D (anything other than blades and a bow). Scythes could fit the role. I think..

yes, this reminds me, Inscription would be a very good profession to add to the game. Something that makes scrolls to boost the parties, enchant gear, summon stuff and to cast all sort of weird & utility spells.

Many of us play Elder Scrolls Online for the story and the lore above all else, and I'm certainly in that demographic. If there is anything we can count on when it comes to the next chapter, it's a solid storytelling experience that can immerse your characters in a new worldspace and narrative. The other things they add to this like new skill lines or game mechanics? They can be fun, but they're definitely not my focus. In terms of game mechanics though, I enjoy options that allow better articulation of my character concepts above all else. Most of the things I envision for that I do not expect to see in a Chapter expansion now or any time in the future. Doing it right would really require an ESO2.

For example, it really bothers me how much the sets a character uses defines their abilities. A lot of these things should really be built into the character's progression as "feats" or "perks" that are selected as you level. It would sure help make leveling feel more meaningful in a post-1Tamriel world.

I predict One Hand and Magic skill line coming as the next "Big Thing" for this Skyrim update, or the blue conjured weapons like the mages guild npc's use when you fight them. A new weapon skill line for magic users is something I want honestly. Tired of only using staves.

On necromancy, I'll say that I was a bit let down by them. I still enjoy and play mine because it's my favorite class. Truth be told my main reason for coming to ESO was to play a necromancer only to have to wait years to actually get them added. I just wish they had actually minions or pets. I can understand their reasoning behind why they went the "no pet" route...but it still doesn't mean I like it.

On vampires. Anything new to them is a plus. More skills is always a plus or a rework.

Spell crafting I wasn't crazy about. Player made skills would be overpowered...or sorely lacking. With these devs there is no inbetween. But if I could make some spells that matches my necro theme then I'm game.

As for companions. Not a fan. The overland content is a cakewalk as is.

    As for what I want.
    - A 2 piece monster helm themed around necromancers. Allow it to summon a melee centered zombie or flesh atronach similarly to Maw of the Infernal set.
    - (1 item) Adds 1206 Maximum Magic
    - (2 items) When you deal damage with a Light or Heavy Attack, you have a 10% chance to summon a (insert undead monster) for 15 seconds. The (insert undead monster) basic attacks deal 4257 magic Damage. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds.

    -Vampire rework.
-One Hand and Magic skill line.
    -More normal looking mounts.
-No more (censored) indriks. Give us something else for the love of Talos.

Necromancer was a **** disappointing class with clunky and buggy mechanics that even now still fails to work properly in an actual combat setting, and that’s as someone who’s wanted to play a necromancer since I started the game.

Half the stuff in the kit is buggy, poorly designed, useless, or broken. The inevitable stam necro pve meta was obvious as soon as the first Elsweyr pts hit, yet zos didn’t fix anything.

I hate to be that guy, but could we get the game working first? It doesn't matter if I'm a vampire lord or have a new magicka weapon set if I can't use the skills from either due to latency.

I'm 110% behind new skill lines for existing characters. Preferably Spellsword and/or new staves for the other mag schools (Alteration, Illusion, and Conjuration). I'd enjoy Spellcrafting, too, but new weapons are probably more practical and less likely to introduce problems. A Bard's College guild skill line could be good, but please no Bard class. Vampire Lord might be cool, but not by itself. We need something for non-vamps.

In another case scenario: I play this game mainly because of PvP and the combats mechanics are something else compared to the traditional MMORPG point and click systems. I would love to love the lore, but it all turns to hate when they use undead and Necros as a punch-bag. I truly hate this discrimination.

The game is absolutely beautiful. It sucks that some people are having issues but to be honest I have never been involved in an MMO where there was not having issues.
There have been some great QOL updates since the last time I played which have been nice, and i really can not wait to see the reveal.

I'd like to see the removal of faction locks in PVP so that people who have invested money into their characters can play them on a populated campaign. OR at the very least a swapping of which campaign is locked and which isn't so we can see what players really wanted, instead of a poorly implemented and quietly added 30 day campaign replacing an already dead one that no one but emp traders played in the middle of the month.

Although I said earlier that I play it for PvP, I try to stay away from the "3 Banner War". It feels more like a Horse Simulator than a Campainha of "1v1v1". And since, in my case, I am a lone-wolf (I play alone), I find hard for myself trying to join in groups on Cyrodel. And the worst part is, I don't even know where the action is haha. If only we could see our faction on the map, it would make the thing look so much comfortable, rather than just "horsing" around for a quarter of your day trying to find where the action is at.

All this performance whining won't do jacksh### The devs are doing their best, probally. And I say they are doing a great job. Over the year the game is being improved quite a lot, specially over the past few years.

I for one, don't experience none of this problems. Just a bit of high ping. And occasionally bug on the daily reward. But besides that, not a single thing.

I am against of Crow crate aswell, but what can we do? WE, the players, are shaping ALL games towards this route. We started with the damn DLCs back on the old days of gaming. I just wish that if they did something about getting the "duplicated" items on the crown crates, because that is just a total scam. We shouldn't be getting them, or if we do get them, they should be refound at the full price of those gems, and not just a small amount.

While I am at it, happy holidays folks :)

I really hope for a bard class or skill line. It's at the depth of Skyrim and even has a collage in the middle of it. This has been my ESO dream since the start. Would become my main in a heartbeat.
