Important PSA about New Life Festival

I don't know if this has already been pointed out in another thread, but if so, I didn't see it, and I think it warrants its own topic so it doesn't get overlooked.
As you probably know by now, we'll be able to earn 5 tickets per day during the New Life Festival. That means we'll need to be sure to monitor how many tickets we have on hand while we blithely go about earning our tickets each day, so we don't hit the 12-ticket limit and end up losing some tickets.
For instance, I've currently got 8 tickets on the EU server, and 9 tickets on the NA server, so that means I'll need to remember to spend 10 tickets as soon as I earn the normal 2, before I go and earn the 3 extra. Or I could do it the other way around-- earn the 3 extra, spend 10, then go earn the normal 2. But if I were to try to earn all 5 without spending any in between, I'd lose 1 ticket on the EU server and 2 tickets on the NA server.
I won't have to worry about this on the second day, because I'll be able to earn 5 tickets on each server without going over the 12-ticket limit. But I'll have to worry about it on every other day-- day 3, day 5, day 7, etc.
This is the first event where this is a potential problem, because during every previous event we could wait until after we'd completed each day's ticket gathering before checking to see if we needed to go spend some tickets, since the most tickets we would start with on any given day was 9 (as long as we'd remembered to spend some if we'd reached 10 or more tickets the day before), and the most tickets we could earn each day was 3 (for certain events), so we were never in danger of going over the 12-ticket limit as long as we were mindful to spend tickets as soon as we got 10 or more.
So the good news is, we'll be able to earn 10 tickets every 2 days, which should give people the opportunity to catch up on any feathers or berries they'd been unable to buy during the other Q4 events.
But the bad news is, many of us may need to be extra careful not to earn each day's 5 tickets too quickly, otherwise we might lose some tickets.
If you're going into this event with 0, 1, 2, 5, 6, or 7 tickets, you won't have to worry about checking your number of tickets each day until after you've earned all 5, since you won't go over the 12-ticket limit as long as you spend tickets after you've earned 10 or more.
But if you're going into this event with 3, 4, 8, or 9 tickets, then every other day you'll need to stop halfway through your ticket-earning activities and go spend tickets, so you don't hit the 12-ticket limit and lose any tickets that you earn after that.

So hitting this 12 ticket limit? Is it a glitch or something? And this is probably a dumb question? But what do you spend the tickets on? I have never attended the New Life Festival Before? Thanks

Lord_Hypnos✭✭✭12 is the max amount since the 1st time they introduced them.
You can buy feathers or berries for the indrik/s at 10 each, pets, skins, and event-writs with those too.
Some events have had also style/costume pages for sale. Just go check them out at any Alliances 1st major City ( EP Davon's Watch, DC Daggerfall, AD vulkhel guard.
The Real seller lady will appear tomorrow afternoon/evening (at least here in EU) and some different time wherever you live
And by "loosing" He/she meant that if you have, let's say, 9 and get the 5 you lose 2 and will be maxed out at 12. So try to keep an eye on them every day.
Almost forgot that the Crown store will have the Event quest that you can activate (for free ofc) and will take you to Windhelm ( at least it did for me) where the Event quest giver will be somewhere between/next to/under/ lots of other players :P

You get 3 from the first boss killed: delve, world, public dungeon, also last boss in group dungeons.
as its 2+3 you will not overflow if you keep track of number.Grinding just make you go in circles.

It starts on the 19th so unless I lost a day somewhere she won't be appearing until Thursday, the day after tomorrow, afternoon. She'll be near the start city for your faction, btw she's called the Impresario, which is Daggerfall (AD), Stonefalls (EP) and Vukhel Guard (AD). ✭✭It's worth pointing out that you need to complete 2 NL quests every day for those 2 tickets. The first two NL quests you do each day will give you 1 ticket each. So, don't just do one quest and think you've gotten 2 tickets!0 -

I, too, probably would have bought the helmet and shoulders. I didn't really care for them, so it would only have been to add them to my collection, so it's no big loss. But still, I'm going to run out of things to buy during this event since I only need 1 berry, the pet, and a feather for my 5th nascent. There will be Skaal outfit pages for sale, but those can be earned by doing the event. I may end up just buying more feathers to have on hand in case there's an evolution next year that I'm interested in.2 -

It's worth pointing out that this is how the official announcement about the event SAID it would work, but also -
It's NOT how the event actually works. Turns out the announcement was incorrect. You get two tickets from the first New Life quest of the day.
I really think they should have put in a warning to keep us from losing tickets from the cap. Or let us know if we did something that would've given us tickets if we weren't at cap, then let us get them later in the day after spending some, if we had missed the chance the first time - either by being at cap, or by hitting a glitch (such as some people did last event, when a dragon body was unlootable), or by missing looting something.
Since they haven't, though - I got tired of constantly trying to monitor it, worrying about missing them because I was over cap, and sometimes missing them anyway. So I decided to learn Lua and write an addon.
I'm new to this language (though not to programming). It's hard to test, because I can only test it when an event is running, and only test things like ticket acquisition a couple times a day. But here it is, if anyone would like to use it.
