even if their is nothing on them, fine, but expansion after expansion of *this whole section is blocked off with invisible walls* kinda ruins the vista's a bit, there were many areas in vvardenfell, summerset, and elsweyr that were made impassable just because, and blocked off whole sections of the map, one of the cool things about TES (and skyrim) is that natural exploration that comes from:

"hey, I wonder whats on the other side of that mountain?"

and being able to trek over it and find out. so please, if your going to do skyimr, let us wander over the mountains, I don't care if there is nothing on them, I just want to be able to wander around on them and trek over them.

Sadly doing so would mean editing the physics engine. I rather them use resources in fixing things.

See, when you say "Make Skyrim's mountains passable," I think:

I want the promise that we can "climb that mountain" to apply in this Skyrim as well. Maybe only include one or two mountains though? Elsweyr had far too many inclines.

In order to make the zone itself larger, they make chunks of it inaccessible so they dont have to detail them and thus, save on memory use. Same reason why they didnt include the island of Sheogorad with Vvardenfell, they ran out of memory.

I admit to feeling slightly clever in elsweyr once you started to figure out sneaky routes around, and didn't mind the canyons as you could get on top of them, areas were just sheer and unclimbable as part of the terrain design and had some great views and vistas (the necropolis or around orcrest and the stiches)

however the barricade of mountains in SE elsweyr near the temple that just "nope" you from traveling and force you to go all the way around to the north or west were annoying.
