✭✭✭✭✭Yeah, its the same old story... they tried to do cloaks and capes during initial development, found that at the current tech level it was a choice between "looking crappy" and "lagging badly", and went with "nope" instead.3 -

✭I just rewatched the LotR and thought cloaks would be cool.... but yeah apparently they would lag the game out.... Also, hair doesn’t move in any real way so I can see how cloaks could look baaad.... if they were to be implemented at all...1 -

✭✭✭✭✭BtW, there IS one leftover from the early days and their attempts at cloaks left in the game. Look closely the next time you fight a lich!
...and that is the best they could give us, with added clipping issues with any back-carried weapons, and the reason they decided against it.1 -

✭SWTOR runs off of the same engine as ESO but with modifications. It's possible but I doubt they have the engineering or design talent.2 -

But its not very visible as in blowing in the wind galloping.
Cloaks and capes would have multiple problems, first would be clipping with weapons on back.
I would prefer to fix shields so you actually hold them first.
Also the issue with robes and dresses together with IK for feetGrinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.0 -
