I've given up caring about balance at this point since it's clearly a futile effort with ESO's engine, game mechanics, and developers' "vision". A game should be played because it is fun and entertaining, but I haven't felt much enjoyment from ESO's combat in these last 2 years.4 -

✭For PvE stamcros, stamsorcs, stamplars as dd, warden healers, tank depend on the group. For PvP magsorcs and templars for sure but someone more experienced should give you a better answer0 -

Being said however, the current ‘meta’ toons I would wager are:
PvE
Heals:
1. Warden is boss. Op heals and buffs.
2. Templar is still the standard and for good reason, but wardens may have actually passed them
3. Sorc, it’s an oddball but can do excellent dps at the same time
Dps:
Stamcro is currently king
Tank:
1. Dk, the classic
2. Warden: they’re great, usually the ‘off’ tank for buffs and such, I love warden
3. Blade: excellent self heals and casting fear can be crazy op
PvP
Dps:
1. Dk is king, they’re easy to pick up but take skill to master. Tanky af. Mag or stam. Leap is op
2. Warden. I love warden, I have 5
. Mag or stam. They’re not as ‘press one buttton to win’ as people suggest. It takes skill to get good at warden, but they’re burst is excellent, they’re super tanky, and play very well in a group or solo.
3. Sorcs are popular. Magplars are currently pretty darn good. Stamcros are tanky but I’d go warden. Magcros are good as team support, but bad solo. Blades are underpowered and need buffs imo
Heals:
1. Templar for main heals
2. Magden for support and buffs
3. Magblade for heals and ultimate
Tank:
All toons can be tanky depending on build. Prolly dk, necro or blade to be a pure meatshield

My main was a magblade, I think they’re undertuned from playing other classes and a direct comparison. I say Stamblades are weak despite not having one, it’s from seeing them in action. They’ve been weak for a while, it always feels like in battlegrounds your chances of winning drop for every NB that joins your team.
No agenda, but I like the theme of magblades in general. I am hoping one day they’ll be strengthened so I can play it again.Looking for any guildies I used to play with:

✭Honestly DKs are nothing in PvP compared to the flood of templar Jabspam. There is no class coming even close to magplars and Stamplars huge damage while they are almost unkillable in 1v1.
In a BG you can tell the end just by looking at the classes of the team, the one team with the most templars wins in any given scenario.

I’ve noticed that as well, but it’s mostly from people who only play one class.
I mean, my main WAS a magblade, now it’s not. I like stealth classes and healing so magblade made sense. When I say NBs are underpowered it’s because on my new main I’m taking out 2 Stamblades at a time way too easily. I died to two at once one time, came back and took them both out. I have no idea where the impression Stamblades are strong came from, they’ve varied from okay to weak since I started playing in Summerset. Then those were lousy NBs
NBs are still pretty tough and pesky af, going into stealth whenever you're about to drop the execute on them, of course that's when they don't snipe you from across the map0 -

If you ask me , DK is the strongest class this patch. But that is mostly from healing on both and stam mag DK allowing you to build with less sustain and increased damage. ZOS still hasn't figured out that sustain, damage, damage reduction, and healing are all tied together and the balance of them will be exposed in PvP.

You're a funny one; you've supposedly played the class, so what exactly would or should be vague when someone mentions the strengths of the class?
Also "stronger classes" "status quo" -- right, in a game where you can build to cover all weaknesses with little to no trade-off which is why everyone is a healer and everyone is a tank, CLASS AGONOSTIC, and the only difference is the degree of damage they do.
