How am I able to get a better connection to the us server, when I live twenty minutes from the EU server? 170 ms to the American one, and 290 to the EU. Wtaf is going on?

✭✭the EU server is garbage, duh
It's getting ridiculous, the in game ping is flat out lying at this point, keeps telling me 50 ms which is complete and utter nonsense considering it takes a good half a second for my light attacks to even fire off. That's if they even fire, then u get these ppl that clearly aren't lagging and it'd be great to know how.
I even tracked the route it takes , and for some ridiculous reason the connection goes from Mannheim Germany, to SWITZERLAND, and then to the Netherlands before it goes to Frankfurt, through some company called liberty communication , which is clearly an American company, like what kind of logic is that when I live right next door to Frankfurt?!Edited by TheFM on December 13, 2019 11:51AM3 -

Are you aware that the issue can be with your ISP not the freaking ZOS datacenter. I'm not 20 min from there but my ping is great.

In every other game on EU servers it works flawlessly, and the fact that I have a great connection to the us servers also shows that it is on zos' end . They need to get their act together4 -

✭Not sure if this will help but long ago I remember ZOS posting somewhere here in the forum how to reset the pathway your login takes by deleting certain files.
So here is what I remember about this: In the Zenimax Online folder find the Launcher folder. In the Launcher folder are "host.developer.log" files. It goes from host.developer.log to host.developer.0.log through host.developer.10.log.
What I remember and I have done this a few times myself is to delete all the developer logs. If you don't want to delete them then move them to a protected folder.
Once deleted then start the Launcher and it will create new developer logs as it finds the best Internet path to the server.
This should find the quickest pathway to the server you are logging in to.

I will try this, thnx ,<3. I didn't notice this too much until now cuz I ran a dot based Stan ( lol ) sorc, but since that is no longer possible I moved to nag sorc, and ( I know it says nag, but it was too silly to change ) the lag is so much more noticeable when trying to time your burstEdited by TheFM on December 13, 2019 1:59PM0 -

Routing being stupid? I live in SA, and NA and EU até the same for me, because my routing to NA is absolutely stupid. You can trace that with a command easily found on Google if you're curious.0 -

its true. i was in battlegrounds last night and i noticed it too. my ping was around 80 but it felt like it was 2000. light attacks, abilities and bar swapping worked with huge delay.

Its especially jarring on magicka toons because your timing gets thrown WAY off waiting for the ball to come out of teh stick xD

Lol this. I've seen trace routes for EU that go from London to Brussels, then Boston US, then Frankfurt, back to Brussels before returning to London.
