    black friday bug !!!

LOL so im hold on this quest because my NPC casted himself into a marble pillar on his way to the tree root rendezvous.
...do i need to reset game? do i need to die and resurect? i dont want to abandon this long quest and start again !!!

    --> azareth, you idiot !!! :D

    .

There's a place in the help section of the interface where you can ask for help being stuck. However, can you try just moving to a wayshrine? It will of course cost gold, but that's better than having to wait on a CS rep on a weekend, or losing progress.

Not dollars - crown gems. I'd LOVE to get one. Hasn't happened yet, but I remain hopeful, though I'm not buying crates until they're ones I really like (which the last few types haven't been - don't like Murkmire ones, or Scalebreaker ones, or New Moon ones.... LOVE Bandaari Pedlar ones, the atronach ones....)

It wasn't for skill up, it was for achievements. There's these little trophies that drop from different types of creatures and achievements for collecting them. In that particular spot I was farming the cat's claw. Look under Character>Trophies. I think other people use that spot to farm rubedo leather.

    QUESTION 10 (replied)
all the skyshards i collected with main character, are now available "for purchase" to my second character (using my crowns in this case) in order to: - avoid my kajit to run around looking for them again? for skyshard to unlock skills for my kajitt weapons? do skyshards appear for my main character too, since platform is same and i login instead with my nord? what do i do with leftover skill-points, if i cannot allocate them / no upgrade available?[/i] ( the upgrade symbol in front of a skill is presented only for those i never use like these 4 examples: weapon staff / guild undaunted / mage soul / profession woodsmanship)

Wonderful! As for leftover skill points, most people use them in the crafting professions. If you don't intend to craft, then they'll just be there until the game adds more skills (if that ever happens).

    Question 10:
    3 skyshards = 1 skill point

Once you find all the skyshards in a zone, that zone's skyshards will be unlocked for purchase with crowns for all your characters. All the skyshards will still be present for characters who have not bought them, so you can still scavenger hunt for them for free.

The only reason to buy skyshards is if you want to skip the scavenger hunt for them on your other characters.

Just save your unused skill points. Either you'll eventually find skills or passives to spend them on or they can just sit there unused.

    QUESTION #11

    https://dottzgaming.com/build/eso-warden-leveling-build/#stamina

as recomended on this forum, i set my skill points into Stamina and changed all my gear to Medium armor, in order to continue my 2H-sword / bow attacks, which so far works great and im enlighted at fast pace everyday (although i ignored the mundus). Today i watched Dottz website above and i think it applies to my ROLE as warden and my breton RACE... i dont see it listed under the Stamina DPS section... only under TANK which fits me (which i believe, is the role of attacking and taking the hits for the team LOL) - if Dottz is correct which i dont doubt he is as an top player, then:

--> why in gear section, its mostly heavy armor pieces? wont heavy gear slow me down specially if i run & dodge?
DOTTZ: "You may want to use a 5 heavy, 1 med, 1 light setup if you plan to PvP. Heavy allows you to be tankier at the sacrifice of some damage, while medium pumps out higher damage at the cost of survivability".

--> his skills are inside Guild and Undaunted, which i didnt unlock?
DOTTZ: "Fighter’s Guild -> Trap Beast -> Barbed Trap"

--> can you go into attack without charging-up first because its way to far, at correct mundus WARRIOR?

In ESO, tanks are not in the attacking business. Tanks are almost exclusively a role in group play, taking the heavy hits and keeping the boss' attention. When playing solo or questing, a bit of survivability is good, but a pure tank setup will be more frustrating (because you don't do enough damage) than fun.

So you should rather look in the Stamina DPS section.

As for race, some races have bonuses or racial skills that are more useful for certain roles, than others.
Bretons are a classical "magicka" race - if you look under your racial skills, they all have something to do with magicka or spell damage.
For a stamina DPS, that is not ideal, but also not a major problem unless you're getting into more difficult veteran content.

I would advise you to at least activate the Fighters' Guild, Mages' Guild, and Undaunted skill lines. You don't have to do much for that, and esp. Fighters and Mages level without you doing their quests (by killing undead/deadra, or reading blue-glowing books, resp.) IIRC, you're doing dungeons, so that would level your Undaunted skill lines, as well.

Barbed Trap is for melee fights. If you're not planning to get into melee, it doesn't do anything.

Edit: Also, contrary to what Dottz says in his guide, I would strongly advise you to use food (or drinks). They're cheap and give a lot of resources and/or recovery.

    Question 11:
You seem to be confusing your Class, your Race, and your Role.

Your Class is Warden. You've chosen to go Stam Warden, which is cool. Stam Wardens are very versatile.

Your Race is Breton. When people talk about racial choices, they are looking at how the racial passives fit for certain builds/roles. Breton passives are more suited to magicka builds than stamina. However, outside of score pushing trials and competitive PVP, your race really won't make a huge difference. Having a race that matches your role or mag/stam might be a little more convenient, but it's not one where you have to feel pigeonholed or buy a race change token.

Your Role: any class can play any role in PVE (tank, damage dealer, or healer). It's just a matter of building for it. Moreover, any race can play any role, even though they may not be the most optimal. I have a Breton Stam Sorc who does just fine - she's not as optimal as a Redguard would be, but I'm not pushing for trial scores.
It sounds like you were aiming for Stam Warden DPS/Damage Dealer. Go for it! Your Breton will do fine.
Roles don't really matter in PVP unless you play in an organized group - if you do, ask your group for help setting up your build for your role.

Heavy Armor in PVP: Dottz' advice assumes your eventual focus is on PVP, where you'll have to decide how you want to play. If you want to play a high damage, but squishy build who relies on dodge rolling and other forms of damage mitigation, medium armor might be best for you. However, as he says, many players choose to run heavy armor for the greater defense from the passives. (When he says "tankier", he means having greater survivability. There are no PVE-style tanks in PVP.) If you are new to PVP, I recommend starting with a more defensively minded build because it will help you stay alive long enough to learn the reflexes, tips, and tricks that really keep you alive in PVP. When I started to PVP, I wore heavy armor Plague Doctor in order to learn how to survive - now I'm able to run around in light armor with about the same amount of survivability simply because I've learned how to read and react to combat.

Heavy Armor in PVE: in PVE, heavy armor is pretty much only ever used by tanks in group dungeons and trials because its too mich of a DPS loss for Damage Dealers or Healers who want to be in Light/Medium armor for Magicka/Stamina. If you want to wear a heavy armor set as a DD or Healer because of the set bonuses try to get it in jewelry/weapons so you can still benefit from your regular armor passives. The exception is if you have full Undaunted passives since you'll get a benefit from wearing 1 heavy and 1 medium/light armor piece - these are usually the Monster Helm/Shoulder pieces.

@VaranisArano, thanks a bunch to clear it out... my mistake, im a tank NORD and not a BRETON after double-check, so sorry! im into PvE and have no intention to play PvP (no battlefield, no trials ONLY dungeons and quests, story line by region) so im glad my Stamina is apropriated and working fine as i went from CP230 to CP260 in 16H (died a couple of times but i have plenty of gems). I just need to nail down the perfect balance of skills slotted for my weapon bars, but my poisonous +2600 damage bow works wonders and kills in 3 blows most enemies (except bosses, i left for last on each region checklist) backup with greatsword... keeping my stamina up longer is my main weakness as i bing on potions but they are slow to upload when i need them most!

Nord passives tend to be ideal for the tanking role in PVE group content, but you'll do just fine as a Stamina Damage Dealer if that's what you want to do.

Generally speaking, tank builds are only needed for PVE group content like dungeons where the tank is taunting the boss in order to hold its aggro away from the group. For overland and quest content, its typically easier to play like a damage dealer since enemies die faster that way.

For example, I can quest on my MagDK tank, but she does low DPS because she's built to taunt, buff, and survive big hits from dungeon bosses. I don't ever die, but enemies take a longer time to kill. My Stam Warden DD who quests also doesn't die AND kills quest enemies much faster because she's built for damage. Its kind of personal preference here - I find it easier to quest with higher damage, but some people prefer "slow but steady" for which a tank build might be okay.

Alliance Points are not specific to Battlegrounds (aren't those basegame now anyway?). You can also earn and spend them in Cyrodiil, and that is part of the base game. (I would advise you to do at least the introductory Cyrodiil quest to open up the skill lines, if you haven't done so already. You don't need to do any PvP for that.)

No, you'll get Tel'Var stones even if you don't have the Imperial City DLC. The DLC is free, by the way, so just getting it doesn't hurt. Again, you won't have to engage in any PvP to go there and spend Tel'Var stones.

Just grab them and bank them. Those are the only rewards for those days, don't waste the days because you really want to get the gold!

You can shove those in the bank whenever they show up in Daily Rewards (which is fairly frequently), and just ignore them.

hi @varana, thanks for input... indeed i have unlocked cyrodill battlefield with basic quest and weaponery tryout, that unlocked skills but i wont go to battle and steal enemy scrolls with a team i dont have.

i though those daily prizes were to buy battlefield weaponery and that they were bound to me with no chance to sell them for coins.

as for imperial city i forgot it was inmiddle of cyrodill itsell and not a DLC on map... i mistaken it for clockwork city, my bad.

dear @Sylvermynx, i´ll do just that but indeed i wont forget to collect my daily reward even if i wont use them ;)

BTW, those Alliance Points from the daily login also count towards your earned AP for levelling the Alliance skills.
So if you're a few 1000 AP short of the next Alliance level, get these rewards on that character, and they will level the Alliance skills eventually.

AP and Tel'Var are currency. You can't sell them directly but they don't use up any inventory, they're just a number on your bank sheet.
You can buy stuff with them that you can sell to other players, though; more so with Tel'Var than AP (a few hundred or thousand Tel'Var will get you things to sell but you will need far more AP to get anything worthwhile).

Nowadays, you access Imperial City via the Campaigns menu (L), you don't go through Cyrodiil anymore. It's basically a self-contained map. When you enter, you'll be sent to your alliance's base where all the traders are and no PvP.

AP and Tel Var are both currencies. You can use them to buy a variety of things, most of which are not character bound. Certain armor, weapons, materials, and motifs can all be purchased for AP or Tel Var, depending on what you want to buy.

You'll find AP Vendors at your Alliance's home gates in Cyrodiil, as well as specific Cyrodiil sets in each of the capturable towns.
You'll find Tel Var Vendors in your Alliance's sewer base in Imperial City.
As long as you stick to the bases, you can avoid all PVP.

Alliance Point gain also counts towards your Alliance War rank (which will gain skill points) and the Alliance War Skill Line. So even if you don't PVP, the daily rewards can very slowly help you progress there.

    - is there an addon that stacks items properly and makes space in my bag?

The Stack command stacks items up to their maximum stack size. After that, they form a new stack. That differs per item.
Mats can stack to 200 (unlimited in the ESO+ Craft Bag)
Potions can stack to 100, crafted potions may stack to 200
    Soul gems stack to 200
    Poisons can stack to 1000

So if I had 75 corn and bought 150 more, using the Stack command would yield one full stack of 200 and a partial stack of 25.

If you need space in your bag and you've already stacked all the items you can, you'll need to look for other solutions.
You can get more storage space by:
buying more bank/bag space until maxed
increasing your mount's carry capacity until maxed
    starting a mule character
    buying housing storage chests
subscribing to ESO+ for unlimited crafting mat storage and double bank space

And finally (well, this is normally my first course of action), selling off stuff you aren't using to other players or to NPC vendors.
