was wondering as i just returned as a player i joined 5 new guilds but wondered if i then drop those five guilds and just choose 5 new ones will that merchant price data be saved thus addin g a broader idea of what stuff sells for since those five guilds where scanned and id be able to scan the guilds that i'll likely stay with (new guilds)

the 5 guilds im in are active but i really need price data

TTC uses your guilds but also pulls data from the main TTC DB, you just need to run it periodically so it updates.

MM only uses your guilds, I don't know if it retains info from old guilds or not.

The two different sample pools are also why you can have pretty different prices...TTC also builds it's prices on listing price, not on sold items. MM only looks at sold items, not unsold listings.

TTC updates daily from all scanned guilds in the main database,so always same for everyone that updates listings daily.MM will work, but the old guild listings will slowly be trimmed past a certain amount of time. Also old guild data will be pointless, other than super rare items, cause prices on alot of things change over time, and sometimes drastically cause of events,or game update changes.

MM retains all information until you have it reset data and then it retains the last 10 days. At that it only retains data that occurred while being a member of the guild.

In other words, it serves no purpose for OP to join another set of guilds. They will not get more value out of MM and TTC already uses it's own db.

If your unsure of the value of an item and you don't think that your MM data looks right compared to TTC or vice versa ask for a price check in your guilds you will likely have members who are in different trade guilds/better locations with more varied MM sales data to give you a better idea of the price.

MM will retain the data from those other guilds you are in, but it will no longer collect data for them as you no longer belong to them and the addon cannot access guild history for them. So yes, you'll get more data, but every day that data from those guilds you no longer belong to becomes more and more irrelevant for a lot of items. TTC you can always go around and manually scan any other guild store listings, so you don't actually have to belong to them to add that guild's data to the TTC database.
