A new use for episode intros?

I was thinking, what if instead of having these cool new intro quests and tutorial only for new characters (which also messes things up for the main storyline) why not changing it so it becomes an intro quest for the zone that everyone has to do to get access to it? Pretty much the entire thing would work, at most the part we're were taught how to fight could be removed.
It would both make it so everyone would be able to do them, and also keep the original intro quest in cold Harbour as the main one all the time, so the whole thing makes sense.

I'd agree except the newer tutorials are better at teaching stuff -- although people who played the game before the expansions survived, so it can't be that big a deal.
And if they made them intro quests for zones you know a bunch of people who don't know the history of changes will whine about how the intro quest for a new zone is stupidly easy.
Another terrible decision was to make the Morrowind tutorial be mutually exclusive with the Seyda Neen quest but there's still ways around that, though tweaking the quests would be required and based on how ZOS can't even write an Announcement without takebacks and corrections, I don't trust them to touch anything anymore.

ZOS boxed themselves in with this scheme so far. The best they can do is not repeat the pattern in the upcoming expansions.

omg finally some people with reason lol

I am an OG player, so I remember when the very first iteration of the Coldharbour prison tutorial and then how they updated that to be ez'r (which it was already)

Keep that as your tutorial always, so like OP stated it makes sense in the timeline.
