Forgive this noobish question of mine: how many accounts can you have (outside of Steam and console, ofc)?

    Apart for guilds needs and uses, which advantages do you have in having so many accounts? My original question originated from my intention of buying a second account, now that it is on sale. Thank you

    4 are "main" accounts that I actually play frequently. The others are to have private guild banks for each "main" account. I might horde a bit of stuff...

    My private guild bank was created with either two accounts with keys and 8 accounts I created during free weekends. Since then, I bought a Steam copy of the game to convert a third account of those 10 into an account with a key.

    2 accounts - maxed out characters in account 1 and wanted a "clean" start so opened a second account. Now that is maxed out also. Not sure what to do next. Third account and start again? Maybe, probably not, you can not "unlearn" the game so the clean start was not as clean as I had initially thought.

    Play your existing accounts on the other regional server - it really will be like starting over. You can't undo your knowledge of the game, but you won't be able to mail stuff from your existing characters to the new ones.

    None really apart from mentioned private guildbanks. I'm hoarding alot so I find it very usefull to be able to mail stuff between them. 2 accounts is enough really but I love my adorable woodelves... xD

    My guildies say I have a problem.... those ***.

    Already done that :) 16 alts on primary and 8 on secondary. For a period I travelled ***a lot*** with work; USA, Asia, europe. You never knew where the best server connection was going to be; US or Europe server. So I play both servers all accounts.
    For travelling I have an MSI i7900 with 8mb GTX 1060 and 16mb RAM :)

    I have a secondary account as a mule account on both servers. I bought a full Elsweyr bundle for it, so that I could take advantage of the event drops.

    I have been thinking about getting 8 more base accounts to be able to create one or two mule guild banks, but even on sale it would still be almost EUR 80 more, so I am a bit hesitant to do it.

    I never needed more than one, as for different servers, there's nothing that prevents me from making characters on NA, though I don't see the point. Sure, if you want to craft non-stop or use them for storage it may make sense. But personally I never needed to do either. 18 characters on a single account give more than enough income, and I have 4500+ storage on that account.
