1 for each region, 2 total from all sources.

As far as I am understanting, you need to have both the Elsweyr Chapter (Northern Zone) and DLC (Southern Zone)...you get one ticket from each zone, per day. I haven't logged in yet though so maybe others can clarify this.

During the Dawn of the Dragonguard event, you can earn up to two Event Tickets per day by completing the following tasks:

Defeat a zone Dragon in Northern Elsweyr or the last Dragon boss in Sunspire trial
Defeat a zone Dragon in Southern Elsweyr or complete any dungeon from either the Wrathstone or Scalebreaker DLCs

1 ticket per dragon in each region once a day,2 total

You can only get 2 Tickets per day, but you have some choice where you get those two from.

You can get 1 Ticket from Elsweyr only
    - either kill a Northern Elsweyr dragon
    - or kill the last boss of Sunspire

You can get 1 Ticket from any of the other DLCs (Wrathstone or Scalebreaker or Dragonhold)
    - either kill a Southern Elsweyr dragon
    - or kill the last boss in Frostvault, Depths of Malatar, Moongrave Fane, or Lair of Maarselok.

Just to mention this for completion (even though the dragons are by far the easier and faster method): You can also do Sunspire, the Wrathstone dungeons or the Scalebreaker dungeons. I think the exact combination is:

Either a dragon in Northern Elsweyr or the last boss of Sunspire for the first ticket
Either a dragon in Southern Elsweyr or the last boss in either of the above mentioned dungeons for the second ticket

I can definitely confirm that the dungeons work (or well, one of them), because that's how I got my second ticket today, in the pledge dungeon, Moongrave Fane.

Ah, shoot. Was already writing my comment, looking stuff up, and didn't see you had beaten me in the meantime. :#

They nerfed the dragon spawn rate as well, at least in N Elsweyr. Haven't been to S Elsweyr yet.

When I was there earlier today, NE dragons were spawning fast.

I think it depends on how fast they are killed as to how fast they spawn.

Northern Elsweyr, the spawn rate is tediously slow.

And, unlike Southern Elsweyr, there’s little point in moving from spawn zone to spawn zone due to travel times.

They always spawned slower in Northern Elsweyr, but camping in one spot is kind of entertaining with all those waiting folks doing funny emotes and stuff. So yeah, I find respawn times absolutely tolerable even in NE.
