Suggestions on the CP system

As we all know, there is now no real vertical progression in the game for a year because of CP at 810 - so how can we support ZOS with alternative options?
My view is to keep all the passives and options of CP, but to buy them instead of using your level, use your achievement points.
Pros :
it would force people to play the entire game.
It would allow vertical progression as new content would introduce new points
Cons :
a lot of role players might suddenly become gods
You couldn’t effectively use an alt char in an end game trial unless you spent time levelling it
Anyway that’s my suggestion, any more?

Varkal2112✭✭✭What a terrible idea. You'd force people to grind things like fishing achievements to min-max? To benefit who, roleplayers? You could give roleplayers a set 30% damage buff and they'd still suck, as would anyone who's not willing to put effort to improve and instead sticks to playing the game's ultra easy features and rping. Not to mention that you think not being able to use alts in end-game content is a positive thing. The only good thing the admittedly horrible CP system has is that once you hit cap, you have it on all chars and having account shareable gear minimizes to alt grind. You not only want to make people grind ridiculous achievements to min-max, but you want to limit them to only 1 character. I hope this is a trollpost.1

✭✭✭✭✭Even if Zos had not frozen CP and still gave us a whole 30 CP per quarter there would still not be any real vertical progression. That winds up being about equivalent to a rounding error.
1. I suggest forcing players to play parts of the game is a con. Is just seems to be a very bad idea to force people to do something they do not want to. If I had to fish to make my characters stronger I would find a different game.
2. Since Zos froze the CP cap this would not create any vertical progression.

- Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
- Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).
