Hi, I am interested in buying a PS5 next year. Presently am playing using Xbox One with ESO Plus. In my country PS is officially supported but not Xbox. I am playing this game since 2016. In NA now at 1303 Champion Point and Europe at 920 Champion Point. Is it possible to transfer my account to PS with all the achievements, stuffs etc. If cannot then have to start from scratch with PS5 & it will be very painfull lol.

Xbox and PS require a different account and you would probably have to buy the game again. They do not cross over and Zos said long ago they will not build a means to copy accounts between platforms.

Yup, TBH it's the first biggest issue I have with consoles. Not being able to upgrade it. I do it with my PC more or less each 2 years and I don't have to worry about transfering anything.
Second thing is limited multitasking. I have 3 monitors, very often I do many other things while playing, PC is a lot easier to use when it goes to things like that.
Other than this consoles are awesome.
And about the topic, cross platform transfers are probably very hard or even impossible due to different databases structure, this would probably require manual transfers which would be very time consuming.I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.0 -

✭✭✭I wouldn't be surprised if they lost a lot of console gamers next year if they continue with their refusal to do another 1 time transfer. I have zero brand loyalty, so will go with the console that best fits my gaming needs.
I thought I'd be xbox this gen, but with MS screwing up how they did, I decided to move over to Sony. There is absolutely no way if i opted for Xbox I'd start all over again. Too much time and money ploughed into my account for that to be an option. If they don't allow transfers, then there goes my eso. I suspect I won't be the only one. Many people swap brands with each console generation, the very vocal and loyal brand loyalty gamers would have you believe otherwise. Of course if I do decide to opt for Sony again, then it will be a non issue.

Why do you think people have to play pc on a small screen? You can hook your PC up to a big screen like any console. You can also use a controller like any console. No tricks or complicated setups required, just plug this stuff in.
Also, it is well know that consoles have had a much tougher time with ESO than PC. There was a time when console players couldn't even log into eso for months if their character was in Orsinium due to memory constraints on console.
If you haven't played on PC for decades as you say, then you clearly don't understand what PC gaming is like today. It has all the advantages with none of the drawbacks of consoles.1 -

There's a lot of new MMO's looking to break out in 2020 and I can easily connect my gaming PC to the TV and forgo the PS5 altogether.0

PS4 to PS5 no problem just install and continue playing your existing account.
The problem is only if you change platforms because they are on different servers.

Right, I get that part, my point to the PS5 is taking advantage of the new graphic package the PS5 will be rolling out with and I do understand its still a whole year out with little to no intel on what the plan is. Back when I was playing Destiny, Bungie had a grace period when they were cancelling the PS3 platform support and moving strictly to PS4 because of performance/restriction problems...I would hope the same would be for this case as well. We'll have to wait and see.0 -

So it isn't just a case of plug in and play unless you want to be staring at an awful picture. Add to that, most pcs are set up in such a manner that the distance you'd need to sit watching a large tv isn't worth it either. Migraine central.

Personally (playing on console), I enjoy not to get a headache over driver installations, OS updates, security fixes, driver conflicts, need of multiple shop clients for different games and whatnot. On the other hand having better graphics, better framerate and most of all access to addons is something I certainly see people enjoying a lot on PCs. I'm jealous on the addons mostly. Most of the bugs we have are pretty much cross-platform already even tho our accounts are not.

i think the last console i bought was... never. i never bought a console. not once. I always used a pc with a graphics card and memory to support what i wanted to do.
well unless you consider a roku or a android tv box - nvidia shield, etc a console... i mean they kinda are at some level but not at the ps4-5 level to be sure...
if you get a zen gen 2 gpu and cpu or better you will be able to do everything you can do with a console plus all your internetting stuff like all your streaming stuff and all your social media and even your instant messaging and phone can be done on a pcI simply must protest. But OP's issue has nothing to do with upgrading the console, like in PS4 to PS5, which should not be a problem, since the PS5 is supposed to have downwards compatibility. OP wants to switch from Xbox to Playstation, which is an entirely different thing, and obviously you can't just transfer your gaming progress from one platform to the other. Maybe they find the hardware more appealing, the user interface, the online shop, the controller or the exclusive game titles of a particular platform. There are even stronger reasons to go from console to PC to get access to lower latency, better framerate, better graphics, shorter loading times, addons and PTS when it comes to ESO. So there are reasons to switch even for normal gamers. The end of a consoles lifecycle is usually a good time to decide if that platform choice needs a rethink. ESO makes the jump to a different platform difficult for given reasons.0 -

My PC is connected to both my 21.5" monitor and 50" TV and the picture between the two of them is near identical. It looks just as good on my TV as it does on my monitor.
Now, I think you may be considering things like input lag and higher refresh monitors and in that case, yes I agree that a monitor is a better choice. If you want to game at 144hz with the absolute least amount of input lag possible, then a monitor is the best, and most TV's can't compare.
But we weren't talking about that. I was talking about console in response to the first person I quoted, which as of right now is still at 30-60 HZ, and being played on a TV. Playing ESO from my PC to my monitor looks no different than playing it on my TV, especially when you can control the size of your UI, or use a controller, and most big screen TV's have a "game" setting that cut out all the processing and drops the response time down to 5ms or so, which is entirely fine for the large majority of players. Again, those at higher HZ would disagree.
The reason why I typically use my monitor as opposed to the TV is simple. The TV is best used for a wider audience using the whole room and watching content for all of them, not me playing my single player games or mmo's. But it isn't because it looks bad or is unusable.0 -

i have just the tv, no classic monitor. ctrl+ is a great feature in every browser so i can read facebook and mail from the couch. i dont sit at a desk at all ever.
