Drop rate on ilyadifish seems ridiculously low

When it's one of the rarest fish in that zone anyway, I'd say it's coincidental.

A couple of years ago the Dab fish which is a green was bugged and it's drop rate was that of a blue.
They seem to have finally fixed that and it now drops with the rate of a green.
With each patch who knows what gets bugged. lol

Out of boredom I started going for Master Fisher on a second character. I had forgotten how much of a boring grind it is. I too am still waiting for the Ilyadifish to drop.

Pick a low population server for Cyro, there's one on every platform. Also try and play during off hours. I did the dolmens, delve, skyshards and quest achievements on a PvE toon before I started to do PvP on another character. The rest were easy and it was rare that I encountered another player.
So I disagree with you as I had a blast doing them in Cyro before I thought PvP was fun in this game. Also, just riding around in Cyro is weirdly calming when there's no people in there, just a huge area to traverse that feels unlike everything else in the game.

It certainly doesn't help, but the one I had the worst issues with so far was Ice Remora in foul waters in Eastmarch. There's a ton of foul holes that are close together and easy to avoid mobs, so I'm happy that it was that fish that refused to drop, but still over 8 hours before I caught it.

I didn't have any problem at all in Cyro. I get to play early in the day, and picked low pop campaigns. All 4 of my toons have that already done.

Now if only someone could wave the magic wand for my fisher on my main account to get HER last fish: Ilinalta Trout in The Rift.... At least it's pretty there. Unlike other zones in EP.... Well, Eastmarch is okay I guess.

In Auridon it was one the ocean fish for me. Worst zone was Shadowfen. Fished for the river and lake blue on and off for 3 months. Log in one day and get both within 5 minutes. Go figure. 🤷‍♂️

Longest I've spent on a fish was either the blue in Cyro ocean (3 days-ish on and off) or the Wrothgar blue foul (roughly two days of just fishing)

Eat the Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl if you aren't already. It helps a lot.

Yeah Cold Harbor was my worse as well.

That zone has the most potential for bad RNG since all the rare fish come from the same type of fishing hole. But I guess that makes sense, since Cold Harbor is basically Tamriel's version of Hell.
