Not as long as you gain resources doing it. There are already heavy attack builds that are absolutely deadly.

Yeah, my sorc heavy attack build pushes 11.5k non crit already with 4k ish Magicka return. Probably could be higher if I used a Magicka inclined race.
I'd rather things stay the same for heavies but buff medium to return some resources. If you buff heavy damage then dps goes back up with near infinite sustain and we're back where we started before the last Regen nerfs.

I get it, no one likes nerfs. Somehow it became the norm around here to talk about light attacking somehow equating to skill and heavy attacking somehow equating to a lack thereof.
While I did vote to buff heavy attacks, the people who wrote that it would make some builds outrageous are right. So we really shouldn’t be buffing much of anything. But a nerf to light attacks would help a ton.
Think about it, it’s a light attack. It lasts significantly shorter than a heavy attack but somehow does more damage because people can pew pew pew quickly?
How about this. Cut light attack damage in half and add in a small recovery element to it as well. It helps sustain and would significantly cut down on the advantage that animation canceling can provide someone.
And I know, I know ... but skill!
It’s an MMO. Show your skill by building correctly, not by cheesing game mechanics.
And yes, I know how to animation cancel and light attack weave or whatever it’s called today. It’s not all that skillful. It’s just cheesy.
