Y'all are gonna make it a 3 day event over Thanksgiving so all of us who are traveling to visit relatives won't be able to participate.

    Don't worry, the queues will explode again. Any event that uses the queue is DOA.

    Do not worry - Thanksgiving is an American thing, no event over Thanksgiving.
    If it were a "rest of the world/European" vacation or event then of course that is what would happen.

    I thought it was clear ZOS didn't care about the EU servers anyway?

    It will be like The Edge of Tomorrow: Tom Cruise hopefully queues for a dungeon each morning, but before he gets at the end the event is canceled and he gets no page :D

    Oh, well nice. Will be done with the in-laws in time to participate in that one (unless the servers/dungeon finder don't work).

    That's the point - they won't schedule a 3-day event over Thanksgiving weekend because that will impact Americans. They regularly schedule maintenance for 9am - 1pm UTC on European bank holidays when the majority of people are off work with nowhere specific to be and wanting to play ESO, and probably would schedule a very limited time event for during European festivals when most people won't be able to play.

    Servers will be especially overloaded at the beginning of the event, with people looking to cash in on the opal style pages before the event gets shut down again.

    I'm guessing it's completely cancelled, like midyear mayhem, and they roll the prizes into something else.

    New update with tentative plans has been added to the sticky. They won’t run it concurrently with the Dawn of the Dragonguard.

    They ALSO said they'd have this fixed last year when they had this same event.

    And here we are.

    This is actually the third year they had to cancel/curtail the undaunted event....for the same reason every time.

    They can not patch their way out of this mess. They have to rebuild ESO from the ground up; group finder and all.

    I don't think they're willing to spend the money on an outsourced company, if they were I don't think there would still be performance issues after 6 years.
