I’m interested in what people are running. I want to make another MagDK for a different faction, but find myself unable to decide on the race. I want to know what race you picked for your MagDK and why you picked it.

I chose a Khajiit because I was unsure about going Magicka or Stamina. I know it isn’t ideal, but I still find myself having fun with him.

ALSO: Do you run vampirism on your MagDK?

    Dark Elf. The extra 2K stamina is hard to pass. I didn't go vampire at the time, but could have been an option. Had no problem sustaining anyway.

    The ulti-gen pretty much directly transfers into sustain because of the DK passive I can't remember the name of.

    Sustain on magdk has always been iffy. Breton is just amazing on magdk.

    Dunmer because fire damage buff, and when racecs got changed the extra stam was nice.
    Cost reduction on Breton is also a great perk.
    And in PvP, Nord is a very good alternative.

    Was a dunmur but could not sustain at all in long fights or quick dungeon runs. Changed to Breton for the cheaper skills. Helped a lot. Dk need better sustain or cheaper ultimate for pve. Thought about just switching to leap instead of race change. But a 50% damage Loss was to much.

    Made back when dark elf’s had fire damage bonus but decided when the race bonuses all got changed that the stamina and weapon bonus was equally good if I want to run s&b in PvP

    Yes, this could have been misleading, it was a long time ago when I chose it. At least the resistance is still there, not bad either if you are going for more sustain through vampirism.

    I was a Dunmer but used one of my tokens to change Argonian (AKA Master race :D ), billion times more fun to play now.

    No sustain issues, lots of empty potion bottles though....should really star recycling them LOL

    I'd probably pick High Elf (for the stam and damage) or Breton for overall sustain, tankiness, etc if I were to play Mag DK again; however, it would feel weird not being a Dark Elf Mag DK to me.

    Mine has always been a Khajiit and I won't race change, but if I'd made it today, most likely Breton for the sustain, or Dunmer because of the resource pools and that Dunmer and MagDK is a great pairing (not anymore) :D

    Breton is great for sustain but I prefer Dunmer for the extra resistances (running vampire) and the extra stamina I use triglyphs and still get my magicka over 41k, sustain isnt really too much of an issue since as a magdk its super easy getting resources back.

    Nord. No racial passives fit a DK better. Extra sustain and burst via battle roar, extra tankiness, and much needed health and stamina.

    Even with the race changes Dark Elf is quite good, since the extra 2K stamina is very useful for both PvE and PvP. Having a bigger stamina pool means Battle Roar is not wasted and you can use that stamina. So I didn't change race for mine.
