Xbox NA Server - What's the deal?

The Xbox server performance has gone downhill significantly over the past few days. Multiple hard crashes in the middle of gameplay on Friday. Multiple hard crashes in the middle of gameplay yesterday. Plus, we can't possibly forget about the colossal crash last night that crashed at least half of the entire alliance, along with many others in PVE. Multiple trial guilds were complaining that over half of the members in their groups got dropped.

What's going on?

On the bright side, at least the Crown store still works.

Hmmm interesting that the Crown Store is still fine.

Maybe they should just shut down the game servers and make the game browser-based Crown Store purchasing only. Server load would decrease significantly...

You'd be able to purchase cosmetics, accounts upgrades, new chapters and housing stuff from there but you'd never be able to go in game to use them.

Youd also be able to buy Crown Crates of course and gamble away at a chance to get a mount or smth.

Yeah, it's been complete trash lately. ZoS should be embarrassed but as long as they keep raking in the money from casuals and RPers whales, nothing is likely to change.

I know quite a few long-term players that have finally called it quits for good.

Yea I’ve spent thousands the past year but the lag is killing me cancelling my eso plus today and not purchasing anything from ZeniMax till this sht gets sorted if it doesn’t I’m done with eso myself which I’m sad to say, love the lore and game itself but this is getting out of hand they have made so much money yet can’t upgrade or update the servers

Things seem rough all over according to reports on here, with the worst being on EU servers. Last night on Xbox NA was the worst I've seen.
Still crickets from ZoS. Apparently they need a few more weeks of meetings to discuss how to discuss why their game is in such terrible shape.

I give this game one more patch before zenimax is forced to admit they've been out of their league working with the hero engine since they got their hands on it.

Servers are bad everywhere today, regardless of platform. Hoping I can play some in the morning, when the masses are at work/school. It's usually okay then, but we shall see.

Excuse you? You are sorely mistaken if you think the groups you just name haven’t noticed issues and also have a problem with them. Find some other group to irrationally hate on.

Don't take it so personally, I don't hate anyone. Perhaps it was a poor choice of words though and you may have misunderstood my intent.

I simply meant to say as long as people continue to pump money into the game despite the terrible performance, nothing will change.

Definitely coming to the Crown Store is Lag Improvement scrolls. They cost 5000 crowns and debuffs the lag time by 10%.

Yes unfortunately even after the mass DC's we had on Xbox na yesterday it happened again tonight in lower numbers (2 tonight, 8 the previous night) in our raid group multiple times. This makes the game unplayable and unenjoyable when you're in the middle of hard content and have people disconnecting. So frustrated atm and really hope they work to improve this sooner rather than later.

While I will happily join you in every attempt to debag and humiliate the Crown Store, it isn’t surprising that it continues to function. It is, after all, just a very limited internet shop with no complex parts.

It is like a snack vending machine sitting inside a hospital. A parasitic pimple on a giant mega-system. The hospital might suffer a total collapse, but the plucky little vending machine will continue to pump out physically nauseous and unhealthy treats, maintaining its position as the hospital’s no 1 profit centre. Just don’t expect it to do anything useful, like say, life changing surgery.
