What would you guys say to taking the bow proc for relentless/merciless off the GCD?

I'm writing from a pve standpoint. And front an endgame one at that. Just thought I'd put it out there. So last night I was on my stamblade in vhof HM grinding for the refabricated motif. During one run, I messed up and accidentally hit my bow proc in execute. It critted for a little over 88k. Now that number might seem high but when you compare that to what I should have done which is use killer's blade which critted for 116k you begin to see the inefficiency of using a global cooldown to activate your bow proc in exe.
From a gameplay standpoint I think it'd be beneficial because as it is Relentless/Merciless is a dead skill in execute (the most important/dangerous part of 99% of encounters.) The skill arguably already does next to nothing other than deal damagefor the first 75% of the fight. I no longer get stam recovery minor berserk, and I have to pay for the bow proc after spending stam upfront to activate it. Personally I don't care about the 5% damage mitigation because I don't stand in stupid, and I have good support backing up the raid team.

But what do you all think? Do you light attack weave in execute on your nighblades and would appreciate the bow being useful in execute or do you spam killer's blade/impale for all you're worth after 24.99%?

    It becomes problematic in pvp where you can fit one extra second of damage to your burst.

    i dont really get the argumentation, there are many skills that u dont use in execute, and the bow is alr quite powerful
    atm i think the only skill off gcd is syphon and that is because its buggy af apart from that in pvp yes i guess the burst would be broken and also in pve it would be a huge dps buff

    Why not make execute a spammable?

    It's not solely about "I only use it for 75% of the fight" it's the fact that it's such an expensive skill, has zero group utility and becomes useless when I need it the most. Let's break down some numbers. On my tooltip it costs 1973 stam to activate. It deals 16910 disease (so it's not buffed my morsg tong) damage after landing five light attacks and spending a further 987 stam. So best case scenario, you activate relentless, which takes one second then proceed to have five light attacks connect and not have to refresh, incap, trap, poison injection or endless hail. That's a minimum of six seconds to deal 16910 damage. Or maximum 2818.333 per second.

    And if course you'd be more focused on activating the bow proc after you refreshed the buff from the master's bow poison injection or keeping endless hail up for your enchant or activating trap for more crit damage or activating you incap before bar swapping for extra damage. And that's assuming that frames are crispy and you are in a position to land a light attack.
    So realistically you're looking about 7-8 seconds on average which is 2,415.7 to 2,113.7. Perhaps even a longer time and lower damage per second from the ability if there is connection/targeting issues or the player isn't that skilled at light attack weaving.

    And that's all it does dpswise. No added buffs no resources gained for slotting. Nothing.

    That's not OP by any stretch of the imagination. Lord knows if I could slot something else for a passive I would.

    - floating 2-10% damage mitigation
    - burst heal on proc in melee
    - 60 seconds duration
    - execute level damage on proc
    - delayed burst against adds

    The only thing we can wish is to speed up it's animation (it is certainly longer then KB/SA), but stats wise grim focus is ok right now.

    It’s a good idea, but the damage would have to be reduced.
