Necromancer Build: DPS Support (PvE)

This is a general concept to give you the grand idea on the matter.

It is highly recommended that you modify and customize your Champion Points, Mundus Stone, Enchantments and Traits personally. You may also even use a different Monster Set or secondary Gear Set

MAGICKA

Race
High Elf, Dark Elf

Gear
Lokkestiiz + Twilight Remedy

Monster Set
Balorgh, Molag Kena, Slimecraw, Valkyn Skoria

Weapons
Lightning Staff + Restoration Staff

Rings and Necklace
USE HARMONY TRAITS on all jewlerry TO INCREASE SYNERGY EFFECTS BY 90%

Other Useful Gear Combinations
Wise Mage OR Master Architect OR Vicious Death

Brief Details
The Necromancer can activate their own synergy via Avid Boneyard which is a D.O.T that offers a synergy, that deals additional damage when activated, that will also heal you for the damage done.

Necromancer Passives offer Increased Phys/Spell Penetration, Increased Health, D.O.T Reduction, Increased Healing Recieved, Increased Critical Rating, and Resource Recovery, Cost Reduction Abilities. Racial Passives strengthen these Necromancer Passives.

Necromancer abilities consist of Healing via Damage and Summoning from corpses - as well as disease damage for the Stamina Aspect

Lokkestiiz -
Increased Damage by 5% toward Dungeon/Trial Monsters at all times.

Activating synergies grants you Major Slayer (15% damage increase) for 15 seconds.

Twilight Remedy -
Allies who activate your synergy will heal for 21k over 10 seconds, and gain Minor Force, increasing their Critical Damage by 10%. This includes you, as a Necromancer can activate their own Synergy via Avid Boneyard Ability

+ Magicka Recovery, Spell Damage, and 5% Damage Reduction from Dungeon/Trial Monsters at all times.

With these armour sets, (including the other combinations mentioned) we can increase our groups critical damage, and their spell/weapon damage. We also provide a very large healing synergy. We must also remind ourselves that Harmony Traits implemented to each ring and necklace boosts our Synergy strength by 90% altogether. We have A TON of things increasing damage by a large *percentage* value - both critical damage and base damage and we get stronger off our own abilities and kills.

Your Monster Set is important. Balorghs will substantially increase damage by up to 1000 for 10 seconds upon activating an Ultimate. Molag Kena offers 500 spell damage after 2 consecutive light attacks. And Slimecraw increases damage done by 8% at all times, plus some critical rating.

Mundus Stone choices generally involved increasing your Weapon/Spell Damage, Critical Damage, Penetration or perhaps Increased Magicka.

Enchantments are generally only Increased Magicka.

Traits would be Divines.

This way, we have over 35k Magicka with roughly 3k Spell Damage or more - not including Synergies and % buffs. Thus, activating these Synergies and % buffs will GREATLY enhance your 3000 Spell Damage to something much more but also increasing your allies damage, and healing them massively.

Yet, you are a DPS role. But you can grow into an 80k Tank. Or Resurrect 3 dead players. You're increasing everyones damage with your synergies, or healing them greatly with your synergies, or both! Or yourself! You can CRUSH mobs with Ultimates and AoE's.

Lastly, when we combine Reanimate abilities or Barrier and Warhorn Ultimates we massively support our group with big healing or big damage shields or greatly increased damage and instant revives. Bone Totem also increases the damage targets recieve as well as stunning them. Pummeling Goliath is excellent, too. Scyth Ability, and other healing and damage reduction abilities come together conveniently with this, making you versatile. The damage is very high and its all in the % values that you stack with Spell Damage found in gear, monster sets, champion points, mundus stone and your race. Enchantments and traits, potions.

This also benefits synergy bonuses you may get from OTHER players, obviously - such as A Sorcerer using the Storm Atronach Ultimate that grants 25% increased damage done. Remember you have Harmony Traits in all of this!

I hope you check this out and tinker around with it's potential. There is much more that can be done and these few notes are just the bigger highlights. Mixing and matching different skill lines and ultimates can significantly increase this builds potential.

    NOTE

THIS CAN ALSO PLAY WELL WITH A STAMINA SET IF WE REMOVE TWILIGHT REMEDY.

LOKKESTIIZ ALSO OFFERS 250+ WEAPON DAMAGE

I may have made a mistake there. Might just effect the player alone and not allies but that is why it suits a Necromancer because they can activate their own synergy. Plus, that is only for Lokkestiiz. Not the others.

well it basically suits all stamina classes as there are many synergies, but its rather a stamina set, so if u play magicka i wouldnt recommend it, and also not on supporter maybe something like aether ?, and def not balorgh

These stats are still better than that, though. No thank you.

I'm thoroughly confused. Is this a DPS or healer? A DPS Healer? I don't know why you would run Lokke with Twilight Remedy. It seems like it would make you a so-so DPS and so-so Healer.

I'm not a disciple of the meta, mind you. But the reason there are only 2-4 support players, max, is because that is all that is needed on raids. Once you have DPS encroaching on both roles, the damage goes down and the healing turns into overhealing. Not to mention I have no idea how much of each resource you are going to have to accomplish this as its a hybrid.

Like the unique thinking. If you are bent on building an effective support DPS character, maybe try out Lokke + Alkosh and make a stam necro. That way your tank(s) can run Ebon, Yolnahkriin, and Leeching Plate, with Battalion Defender, Powerful Assauit, Brands, etc. And you might still have the potential to do decent damage. Or run Lokke + Hircine's Veneer.

Either way, cool post. Really got me thinking
