I hope everyone enjoyed a few hours of the Undaunted Celebration in 2019. Let's all look back on the good times we had during those hours, if you were fortunate enough to play during them. Obviously, it would have been even more enjoyable if the new, completely remade, group finder didn't have the exact same issues as the previous group finder but there were problems with trying to use the group finder to find groups that couldn't have been foreseen by anyone and certainly couldn't be thoroughly tested.
What's important here, as we conclude the 3rd year of event issues is that we all remain civil, constructive, and on-topic in all of our forum posts because only civil, constructive and on-topic posts can buoy our spirits moving forward. We're all in this together.
I, for one, am looking forward to the next official post regarding next steps after this not completely unexpected setback. I'm looking forward to learning about the prospects of the indefinitely postponed Midyear Mayhem event. And of course, I'm looking forward to more civil, constructive and on-topic discussions based on the content of the next official post.

They seriously need to fix this stuff, the game has been out for 5 years and they are just flat out canceling events because they cant get them to work.

why even advertise the events in the first place?

I predict this thread will soon be spiraling into the most civil constructivism imaginable.

why even advertise the events in the first place?

Events = participation = better numbers = higher chance for revenue

Events = fun things for community = developer satisfaction

If they thought they had something in place to prevent a meltdown, why not hold an event to make money and feel rewarded?

Whatever is wrong - with their sever capacity/architecture or game code or insufficient sacrifices for warding off Yoomaba the Unending Shame, patron saint of scoring own goals and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory - it really seems to have them flummoxed. Maybe a software or IT person in the ESO community could address potential issues with trying to ramp up server capacity quickly while simultaneously adjusting the software to handle the new load? That's way out of my depth.

Is it acceptable to expect civil treatment FROM ZOS? Is it fair to expect ZOS to fix their well established, perennial issues with lag, group finder, you name the bug that's existed since day 1 and still exist 5 years later?

I'm sorry, but with things continually getting worse, not better every time they say they fix something, the confidence of most players is waning, to put it mildly.

By the way, this morning 5am-8am pacific standard time, it was common to get fps less than 10. It's a challenge to play under these circumstances, and 5-8am is not exactly prime time.

It's the funniest part of the forum, why do you want to remove that?

If they did their job well none of that would happen.

Each event the same mistakes for 5 years, each event the same promises and the same thing happens again.

The general perception (in the forum) is that ZOS simply doesn't care, how can you make the same mistake over and over again?

Not even a dog stumbles twice on the same stone.

I just want everyone to know that the great Cthulhu loves each and everyone of you.

And I am available to discuss the good news of our lord and savior Yog Soggoth Every Tuesday evening at 6 pm EST in Daggerfall. Just follow the sounds of mad babbling near the blacksmith station.
