If Zos upgraded the server would you happily spend more money on the game?

You missed an option, because you're assuming that ZOS doesn't have the money at present to fund improvements. ZOS has been using this game as a cash cow to please their shareholders and fund their other games in development for a long time now and it's hugely profitable for them. Otherwise they wouldn't have spent a few million dollars on a freakin' superbowl ad. I would like to see even a fraction of the massive revenues they get from this game used to hire more actual developers and QA testers so they can stop releasing content when it's broken just to hit their arbitrary release dates. I would like to see the years-long bugs and broken things in this game finally fixed. I would like them to stop taking our money to fund games we might not actually play, and use it to improve the one we actually love enough to spaff our money on and stop treating us like mugs with limitless cash and patience.

Yes, because I do enjoy the game.
Well, it would certainly make me less reluctant to spend more money, over and above ESO+.

I have, technically, already spent more than enough on this game to last me several years.

So, it would take the reassurance that they are actually doing something about the EU server problems, rather than just talking about it, to tempt me to spend much more, at this point.

No, I never pay for games.
    Zo$ on£¥ ¢ar€$ about mon€y.
Server upgrades wont happen for a steadily declining playerbase (no, the ppl from the monthly f2p events that play for 2 hours and uninstall right after dont count).
Milking short term profits is the Meta for Zo$, hence the regular cosmetics, crown crates and dlcs.

    How about no.

I subscribe to ESO+ on two accounts and my husband subscribes on a third. I’ve bought far more crowns over the years than I‘ve ever needed. And we’ve been here since the beginning.

My husband and I have already spent ..and are still spending...plenty on this game. If they can’t fix the problems that have been plaguing ESO for so long, then we’ll soon be out of here.

I'm already supporting the game: I've been subbing for quite some time - since the Dark Brotherhood dlc release.

    Totally wrong options.

There is at least one option missing:

    - No. I won't pay more for that MUST be already made and I already payed for that.

I chose no as it seemed the only appropriate choice from those available.

I already have ESO+ and already spend money on aesthetics etc.

I would NOT pay MORE money, for fixes that should be part and parcel of the game. I already pay enough.

So... OP... if you buy a car and it doesn’t work, you can’t drive, it breaks, etc. what do you do?
    A) expect the car to be fixed,
    B) pay more money to actually get a car working.
It boggles me when I see threads like this, that people actually think option B is the right one in IT industry. Amazing.

It is not like I never pay for games, I have paid for this one to sub but cancelled it

I am not planning to spend anything on crownstore or subbing, I have been treated like poop enough for my money

No, because I also do not support the direction the combat updates have been taking. It has become too much constantly changing my build just as I get used to it.

That being said, having the game work adequately for all users would be a welcome change.

People do learn. The problem is that new people arrive, and in a past life, it was all about server hardware, so that is all they know. They have to be trained.

Your poll doesn't include enough options to provide valid results. I've been an ESO+ subscriber for 3.5 years and wouldn't pay more for the subscription than I do now. I feel enough value has been provided for what I've spent or I would have unsubscribed.

Where is the 'other' option? Or at least a 'no' option that specifically echoes the title (that is for the server), rather than making a blanket assumption that no money is spent on any part of the game?

Yeah I realised after I posted it I should of added that option, however it will not allow me to edit or add to the poll so I'm sorry about that.

ESO is already a ridiculously expensive game. They are making more then enough money with this game, if this still is not enough to afford properly running the game, it's mismanagement on their side. Working servers should be a standard for any online game and not something costumers should pay extra for.

I already spend on two accounts, both are ESO+ and I occasionally buy a few extra crowns in a sale but by and large my subscription crowns cover my needs. I play from the UK on both PC EU and NA servers and am rarely affected by any performance issues, so my spending isn't affected by them.

It's the code, not the server. Throwing more hardware at problematic code won't fix client-side issues at all. Console players are very familiar with client-side memory-management issues. A server "upgrade" won't do anything to fix that.

There should be an option such as: Do you think ZOS should spend the tons of money they're already swimming in to purchase reliable servers?
  • Sailor_Palutena

Yes, because I do enjoy the game.
I unsubscribed yesterday. I will keep playing at least an hour a day, like I've been doing for months. Can't wait for finally queue for a random dungeon finder and not being forcelly dropped in a DLC dg. All I ever asked was an option to pick a few dgs out of the shuffle. I usually have short time to play, so to be dropped in a MoS, MHK or WGT, makes me ragequit. Also happens if I land on a low cp group trying to do a DLC consisted of a fake tank and fake dps.

This chapter is also very weak compared to Morrowind and Summerset. The storyline of those two chapters along with Clockwork City was superb. I also like Murkmire more than Elsweyr so far. Dragons are cool and all but get rapidly as boring as doing Ali'kr Dolmens over and over. I sincerely hope they focus on Skyrim next or even other parts of Cyrodiil for the people who played Oblivion and Skyrim to feel nostalgic. Even the other part of Morrowind would be interesting.

Now what I think this game needs most is a full revamp of the CP system. As it currently is, there is no sense of progression. I feel like I've hit my top performance back in the 400's, but nowadays at 870, I feel like I'm just wasting time. My suggestion would be to remove that broken % and change to a flat 1% chance with every point, limiting the max to avoid abuse.
35 points for a 35% increase for example. Instead of spending 100 points for a 25%.

As for the crown shop. They should get rid asap of this second currency called Gems and allow people to buy anything with Crowns. I look at the daily offers and I wonder how long they can trick consumers with multicolored reskins of the same horses, while leaving a few actually interesting mounts reserved for gems.
