Rimworld can run in 4k. Just about all games made past 1980 can run in 4k.

✭✭If your CPU and GPU are of similar vintage, you'll get decent results. Calculating multiple actors' animations loads the CPU, and rendering them loads the GPU, and of course both happen at the same time, and the slower one decides your frame rate. So upgrading a video card may not help frame rate, but just get you nicer-looking still pictures.
And there's also a factor for the disk drive when new textures need to be loaded. Which is more often if the video memory is limited.
I run triple monitors (5760 x 1080) on a relatively old system comfortably. The game loads from SDD, but saves and screenshots to the HDD.1 -

Lady_Linux✭✭✭✭✭looks like my default resolution is 4k but my refresh rate is 30 rather than 60 or 120.. i know this tv says it does memc120 but i dont think i am seeing that... it's on the mhl hdmi port feels like it's struggling to keep up... some studdering i guess...
should use hdmi 2.0 vs 1.4 i would assume... in the tv's settings

bobdrad✭✭✭Current SNAFU aside - it works great on my PS4 Pro and looks fantastic. No more crashes or lag than anyone else. Some of the original Pro models had issues with overheating and fan noise but that has been rectified in current models.0

Myself and my Hubby recently had all our HD tv stations switched off because however much we wished we could, we couldn't see a difference between the HD and normal channels(and it saved us a butload of money)...….
So as far as I'm concerned my basic HD monitor is probably overkill!!
