The issues with activity finder have been known and acknowledged now for years. Despite promises the issues would be fixed before this event went live again, it has been cancelled. Here is what I suggest you do for the event.

1. When an account logs in for the day, award every toon on the account a hefty reward box. Also reward the account the 3 event tickets for the day. (Just assume their intent was to participate in the event on all toons, be sure to award all toons the extra xp for the random dungeon they would have received as well as the email with rewards for completing the random dungeon)
2. Award the standard reward box to any toon logged into the game for more than 30 consecutive minutes. (Just assume they would be grinding the event for boxes and this is a reasonable time to queue and complete a dungeon.

I don't think anything else is really acceptable at this point.

#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

The awarding of tickets should go through mail then, so that those with more than 9/12 tickets don't lose the first 3 tickets.

I agree but it should be across all servers because a lot of players play multiple servers. I play PS4 NA and EU.

I play PC NA and EU, on two accounts.

Agree with above poster... I purposefully entered this event with 11 tickets, so if some unforeseen “gong-show” happened... I could grab the berry and split. “Rewarding” with automatic tickets that potentially disappear into the ether is actually punishing people in a similar situation.

+1 mail / box that I can keep until I have visited The Impressario... or temporary ticket cap raise.

Some companies realize that customer happiness can be sometimes be bought with things they can materialize with just keyclicks.
For example, goodwill is worth the cost of an apology when you screw up, and compensation consisting of a few electronic trinkets.

To be honest... I didn't think the group finder was acting any differently during the short time the event was operating, to how the group finder normally functions (or malfunctions - in most cases). All the event did was highlight the buggy group finder for what it is... and what it has ALWAYS been. The only thing about this entire fiasco that has surprised me - is the levels of shock and acting surprised from some customers and from Zenimax themselves. Why so bemused by all of this when we've literally been on these forums screaming about the issues from day 1??

Short term resolution? Pretty easy and obvious I would think...

You have Undaunted quest givers (not the dungeon guys - let's avoid the dungeon queues) - the Undaunted Delve guy...

3 Tickets for completing the first quest of the day
1 Hefty Box from first delve boss killed doing the quest
1 Undaunted Box for subsequent repeats of this quest with alternate characters (although the quest is share friendly, and can be be shared among friends).

This will avoid dungeons queues, will dissipate the player base throughout tamriel - and it can still be retained as the Undaunted Celebration.

    Simple. Isn't rocket science. lol.

If you wanted to expand it to the other guilds (Fighter's Guild and Mage's Guild) then you could include those quests in it for chances at monster helm/shoulder style pages... again, dissipating the player base throughout Tamriel instead of all centrally located.

You seem to be under the impression that games-as-a-service entitle you to a good experience. They do not. Anything that ZOS do following this disaster will be simply PR and damage mitigation. And as we've seen, at least some players don't really need much incentive to drop money into this game, issues and all, so it's debatable to what extent this is even a disaster from ZOS' perspective. Just as long as half a dozen fools keep gobbling up the reskins and the lottery boxes...
