Booted from BGs, "deserter". One small issue with this.

I didn't log out. I was forced out.

I get it. Running an MMO is difficult, thankless work. There are countless nerf threads without basis, the system doesn't do what you want it to on the best of days, and to be entirely frank I can only imagine how things are going internally as I write this.

I've finally hit my limit for tolerance and patience, however.

I was booted from battlegrounds without an error message straight to login. Firstly, this bug has existed for *patches*, it is not new. Second, how does this even happen? I don't understand how it fails to even generate an error popup. 304 is you're already logged in. The reason I know that number by heart is that after being removed from game with zero warning, it displays on any attempt to log back in. I also wonder how the account can remain in for several minutes, while I am not actually on it and repeatedly requesting access (which under normal circumstances logs the account out). Normally, just a minor inconvenience. However, it cost me a winning battleground match.

This means that for poor hardware from the host (ZOS) side, I lost my daily xp, my daily reward, and the AP from victory I have been using to snag vigor on this alt. I truly could care less about any of that, the part that irritates me the most?

Please, ZOS. In light of the extreme degradation of performance that is now impacting not just your daily lives running the game, but also standard operations of the players paying for your game, consider pushing those performance updates to now.

I agree, but the deserter penalty is kind of needed, I can’t remember the amount of games where we were behind had players join die and quit. Only to adjust my approach get a couple decent replacements, win those games. Those children need to learn how to adjust their playstyle and not baby rage at the first challenge that comes their way.

I know what you will say, you didn’t quit, you disconnected! If they aren’t treated the same then what is to stop players from just re-booting the game instead of quitting?

Anyway, these performance “upgrades”, what is there to tell you that they will have any effect at all? The group finder issues can’t be a tougher fix than re-building the database!! Can it!!??

The source of the issue has nothing to do with the deserter penalty. It has everything to do with a false positive rendered entirely because of poor quality hardware we're using to play on their servers. That is something only ZOS can control.

To be absolutely clear; My point was not and is not to remove the deserter penalty. It is to make it less likely or ideally impossible for me to get it in the first place by fixing their servers, and going ahead with their plan to upgrade several key aspects of their hardware *now*.
