Just Stop this Cycle, Everyone loses

This ongoing cycle of launching events (over the last three years) that the platform cannot support is costing your devs, your subscribers, your casuals, your community (and eventually your investors) far, far too much. Everyone's remaining goodwill buff of patience and love for all things Skyrim is quickly timing out on ESO by ZOS. This has been stumble after embarrassing stumble. Just Stop! You still have an opportunity for a sympathetic community to support your devs and give them the time to fix the base game and game-play systems. At this point, i would say this is a small and rapidly shrinking window of opportunity to repair your credibility and relationship with your community of supporters. RL, I am sitting here looking at your quote from last year's event and I am sure our loving community will shove this in your face repeatedly over the next few days. Please put on your big-boy pants, hit the pause button and focus on saving this game. We will all thank you - your development teams, your subscribers, your extended community, your investors and over time, even your critics.

They just need to keep the events out of the LFG finder period. It won't solve the problem long term but it will keep people in the game.

Zos still makes money so they dont lose. Hey there is new nice costume in the crown store !

Seriously though only cycle that should stop is people buying stuff from crown store other then DLCs.

Most people I know are sick of events. An event should be by definition something rare and special, not a new one that starts every 2 weeks

Update: The Undaunted Event is officially off on all servers, and all supporting features are also disabled (such as the Impresario). We are still discussing next steps, and will let you know as soon as we have a plan.

Like they didn't know in ADVANCE what would happen! :D:D Seriously ZOS guys, I love you and everything, but this PR talk should just stop...

I would be NICE if when I log on they let me know they canceled an event - I see ads to buy things but never a notice about any problems. Do I need to query the players every time I log on "anything wrong today / anything new broken / cancelled?" OR am I expected to look here first for issues before I try to start playing? There's a very nice place in the launcher for stuff like that.

No, you should just expect stuff to not work from now on.
Thats what i do atleast, when i come home i don't immediatly start ESO, first i check if the server is up to begin with since that is hard enough for ZOS to achieve.

Just stop paying for subscriptions, buying new crates, crowns or DLCs and believe me, they WILL fix all issues. Because it will hurt.

But as long as they see millions flowing in their bank account from a broken game, they aint gonna fix anything. Why should they? Why should they stop trading mirrors for gold?

At a minimum I would think something like this would have the same importance to players as "imminent server shutdown for maintenance" and they surely could use the same tools.
Otherwise it just generates bug reports from players.

Every single time they don't think things through and do it correctly from the start, there is a ripple effect that generates more work down the line.

LAMO - ZOS just locked the 2018 thread with RL committing to having the platform fixed before the 2019 event - their reason" it's too old and keeps getting brought back up. This is too funny - I wonder why it's back in your face Zos - ROFL
