1st time mageblade looking for dw/ bow tips

So I took advantage of the double xp and leveled a Magblade. I would prefer a Dw/bow set up as it’s my play style.
This is for OVERLAND and FUN , hence the toons name Cadwells Baby Momma

I’m just looking for a Magicka DW set up for fun. I’ve seen players using them before. But I thank you 2 for being soo helpful1 -

✭✭I don't know what content you plan on doing but that setup simply isn't going to work well on a Magblade. You can use DW of course but Bow is pretty much a big no on any Mag build. If you want to do PVP DW / Resto staff can be effective or if you do really want to use DW / Bow make a Stamblade instead.1 -

I have one Destro/Destro toon I use for Guild / Trials functions and I HATE it.
I guess I was looking to see if there was to incorporate Storm Calling into dw / bow set up. I’ll just tinker around and see what I can come up with.

✭✭✭Supposed CP1K+ player with 14 chars wants to play DW / bow magblade with sorc storm calling skills = troll.
If this is really just for role-playing, you can play anything. Hell, if you pretended to say "fus ro dah" overland NPCs would fall over just from that. So I guess you're asking for a nice themed build, rather than something that performs, but only your imagination is the limit there. The new moon acolyte set combined with either shacklebreaker or twice-born star would be a good route for a hybrid character, imo.
If it's just for S&G's, you can put points pretty much anywhere. You're probably not going to get any hard and fast "this is what you need to do to be effective" types of answers, though.
Personally, I think tanks make the best "hybrids" because as long as you have a taunt and some damage mitigation, you can use just about any combo of abilities you feel like and no one's going to argue the point. khajiitNPC✭✭✭✭✭Don’t listen to these guys — obviously there are better sets for overland content but since The focus is on fun (which these neckbeards don’t understand), my recommendation is:
Run Marauder’s Haste (on body), Necropotence: xJewelry, Swords, and Bow. And Grothdarr or infernal Guardian. You’ll still get an increase on all forms of damage with your swords. I’d go all magicka pool, and Tristat food. You’ll primarily use your bow for the last passive to zoom around with, not really for anything stamina damaged based.
I’d definitely run path of darkness as your damage AoE, dark shade to proc Necro, Harness Magicka to proc Marauder’s, spammable would be concealed weapon, impale would be your execute, you could also run crippling grasp as another dot, and swallow soul for a nice little heal.
You could easily do 15k to 20k DPS with this build which can complete all Base Vet Dungeons and all overland stuff. Have fun!0 -

You could even go prisoner rag’s too with a bunch of points dumped into sprint reduction, mag regen, also get the Windrunner cp passive. Idk. Just some ideas off the top.0

✭hmmm I would say any magicka set with DW Swords (daggers axes would be pointless).
If you realllly want bow on the back bar then I would recommend undaunted unweaverNA PC | AD

You really need to be clear. Do you want a hybrid build or an actual magicka build using a bow?
Hybrid guilds are ok, not great. You can probably do a little better with a magicka build with DW sords and only swords but you are restricted to using class skills and guild skill lines as any weapon skill would be weak. Hence, bow would be bad.Edited by idk on November 10, 2019 10:31PM0 -

If it's a sorcerer, you can still have the visuals of Critical Surge and Overload if you play a stamina build.0
