Dated World Map and interface

Hello, i think world map looks Very Dated and zos must change and improve it and i think that should not be a big problem for them :X who's agree with me ?

p.s also i think interface needs improvements too.

    What is "dated" about it, and what changes would you make for it to be less so?

    If you're on PC, and want a slicker UI, I'd suggest PerfectPixel. It's really nice.

    As for the worldmap, it's fine. It could probably do with a bit of tweaking, to clean up the borders, particularly if they're ever going to add in zones like Winterhold or the Velothi Mountains. I'd love to see Blacklight, but the current map doesn't really allow it to fit where it belongs.

    when map is zoomed out it is flat and empty without any terrain or any meaningful indication about particular zone.

    The bit that I think needs an improvement, on console, is that everything in the UI displays in list format. It makes sorting through your inventory and bank time consuming and trialsome. I didn't like it in Skyrim and I don't like it here. :(

    the only think i want done is the zooming out if and into the cyrodiil map should be much faster.

    it takes forever to zoom out to the wayshrine after commutting sui to slayghter fish

    I get nervous now when anyone asks to update or rehaul any aspect of the game.

    Not that I don't agree, or would like to see some improvements.
    It's Zos, however, and as the recent update and rehaul of the group finder has shown, they often break more than they fix. Orc passives being another example of changes gone amuck.

    Just give me extended stats, like penetration, on my character sheet (console) and I'll be happy. And even that, sadly, worries me about what could possibly be broken...😖

    Well, yes, I do like nice maps, as well. Map improvements mods are some I always installed on the solo TES games.

    I know mods can take care of this, but yes, I agree with you, OP .. a nice map for our console-playing comrades would be nice.

    I wish there were more filters to control things like whether or not you want to see the guild trader locations, player housing locations, trials, group dungeons, delves, etc. We already have some filters, I'd just like to see more filters, and more detailed filters-- i.e., take some of the filters we already have and split them up into subcategories (i.e., a tree), so we can check or uncheck the parent category as well as the child categories.
    I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

    Full disclosure I am a cartographer irl I kinda like the world map as is However I wouldn't say no to some improvements on it though cant really think how it can be made better within reason with 1 exception*. And for pc at least there is a way through add-ons to improve things like map pins and the like. I do wish there were in game map furniture for each zone instead of just the world map and elsweyr maps.

    *The only thing I wish was that they use a different quest pins for dlc zone starter quests and prequel quests from main zone quest map pins so I can weed them out to play at a point of our own choosing instead of wandering upon them in like a bar and thinking i need to talk to them to save that zone they are in.

    Tbh the biggest issue on console with the maps it’s

    1) the zoom level is rubbish
    2) it doesn’t lock into poi’s as it should
    3) since update 23 you can’t easily tell what country Is what at the biggest level - so you have to sort of wave your cursor around until it finds an area which is not populated and it briefly comes up

    @ZOS_GinaBruno chance you could take a look at particularly 2+3 - it’s minor but annoying
