Does your game stutter after few hours of playing?

Ever since Dragonhold DLC whenever i play for more than 1-2 hour the game is getting choppy and stuttery without any obvious reason, i may be in the middle of nowhere or in the battlegrounds or IC, it does not matter.... the only solution is to restart the game, disabling addons does not help.

It would be good if you guys post what
CPU, RAM and Windows version you are using, especially the ones that does not have this problem.

    I`m with:
    i7 7740x
    DDR4 2x8GB @3600 mhz
Windows 10 pro 19018 build (inside preview build)

Yes, it's was happening to me ever since Southern Elsweyr was implemented. (I did not have this issue on the test server, oddly) I actually had to restart the game every single time I change maps because the stuttering coming off the wayshrine was intolerable, and then I had to restart it once every 20-30 minutes because the stuttering would build up.

    Core i7 7700
    8GB DDR4
    GeForce GTX 1050Ti
    Windows 10

An extremely recent driver update to my graphics card actually resolved most of the issue, but I still get some intermittent stuttering coming off wayshrines that I wasn't having before. The game usually runs smoothly with no issues. I still suspect something is wrong with the game itself as the two other people living with me who each play ESO and have different computers updated their drivers and the issue was NOT resolved for them.

    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
    Legends never die

Nope never stutters. GSync (or Free-sync or whatever).

    I7 7700
    32 Gb ddr4
    GTX 1650 OC
    Win 10 Pro
    60 Hrz Samsung Curved monitor

I’ll drop 1 FPS under 60 and go up to 60 intermittently after a few hours of constant play. Otherwise 60FPS everywhere except Cyro if a huge Zerg strolls through. :(

And yup I chose a 60 hrz monitor over say a 144hrz monitor because I like to play on all high settings everything on except water reflections even in Cyro. Things look better at 60hrz as opposed to 144 (0r 100 or whatever).

Maybe memory leak is back...if it ever went away.

I don't think I have this problem. I have a 5 year old computer, so it's getting a bit dated. I get framerate drops when the game is loading a lot of textures and then it smooths out. Frame rates are around 50 in eldenroot and rawl kha but 75 or more out in the wild.

    I5-4690
    GTX 970
    8 GB RAM
    4 GB vRAM
    1TB storage
    Asrock Fatal1ty H97 Killer
    21 inch monitor w/ 75ghz refresh rate.

Check your task manager and make sure there aren't a bunch of programs running in the background. Anti-virus programs and firewalls can be obnoxious for game performance.

worst performance in last 3 years...
PSA - Crown items paid for cash have a chance to soon be obtainable in game for free
Not my quote "It took a while to sink in that we’re killing it right now..."
Dragonhold - "...updated Activity Finder for dungeons and Battlegrounds, and also focuses heavily on the first part of the performance improvements for ESO..." ^^

Yes, but I am having to restart the game every 40 minutes anyway because of BG queue bug,

    Ryzen 5 2600, OC to 3.9Ghz
    Radeon Rx570 MSI armour 8g DDR5
    32Gib GEIL DDr4 running it at 3600ghz
On a 970 pro NVME drive,
6 fans. Water cooling. Ultrawide LG.
Still runs like a piece of garbage.

Yes, it was more noticeable when hunting dragons, but it has appeared randomly when in overworld in other zones. Frames would drop from 60-70 down to 13 in some situations. It would recover pretty quickly.

On a side note. I also started to hear a strange click noise coming from my PC. OS and ESO are both on SSD's so it is unlikely the HDD. It only happened when playing ESO. It seems to have stopped atm.

....and still massive issues with lag and fps drops. And no, it's not my connection either. I know how to run traceroute. It's the ZOS servers. They can make what ever excuse they feel like making that day, but it's the ZOS servers and always has been.

No I don't have the issue
I wonder if it has to do with playing in "prime time"? Because I just do not have this issue, and even on my old satellite (not nearly as good as this one), never had this issue either. I don't play in "prime time" for a variety of reasons.... mostly related to not wanting a bajillion people around me all the time - and the fact that my agreement with husband is that I will play during the hours I listed above, and not in the evening.

I also don't do group content....

On Xbox x, after an hour or so the game starts to stutter heavily. It looks like ZOS created a memory leak on the software with the new update.

Random lag, FPS drop to single figures, freezing in combat then jumping forward like The Matrix, jumping back in time and space.

Happens randomly, outside, in dungeons, cities, Dragonfights.

It’s noticeable that more areas in the game are behaving like the middle of big cities like Alinor. Much more frequent and pronounced on PC EU than on PC NA (obviously)

I am not feeling any of these promised ‘performance improvements’.

I have an NVMe SSD (one of the fastest available) and it DOES. NOT. HELP. :(

The LED on it only blinks sporadically, even when the game "is dying", so I'd say it's not a disk access bottleneck.

I've. Since people was always crying about cyro, I've play one week almost all the day to see how horrible it really was.
But I see nothing, still full FPS with everything maxed.
FPS drop by half only when 2 big zerg are fighting. So yeah, I don't see any issue.

This used to happen often this year, especially when I engaged in VFX-heavy activities like wearing Thurvokuun when tanking.

To clarify: once stutter started, it remained no matter what I did next.

The problem disappeared completely after my planned GPU upgrade.
