PS4 players - how's performance after the patch?

Tiff_ar15✭✭Performance is still meh but I haven't been crashing in dungeons nearly as much. Have had some blue screens though. Also a lot of longer load screens and Npcs are taking even longer to load.0 -

✭✭✭Cyrodiil was ok before patch, now it crashes about every 15-30 mins
As a bonus, sometimes there are now indefinite loading screens.
As another bonus, BGs now are hanging with a "will be closed message" if not enough players can be found.
I never have been crashing or had to abort the program that often.
ZOS, is this the version you want released for Christmas? Better revert this mess...

✭✭✭It's a horse a piece. Frame rates have been more stable and loading screens aren't nearly as brutal. The "mount bug" (where you stand there after pressing mount) seems mostly resolved. Dragon fights are pretty smooth, though after a while of farming with a large army, the performance does gradually start to tip. Blue screened once at an outfit station, which is weird. I seem to have more trouble targeting things now and bar swapping has failed on occasion. I'm a little disturbed that when you run into a pool of water, now, your mount doesn't do the despawning animation anymore, and there's no splash sound, you're just suddenly running. Not sure if bug or intended. I didn't think I'd miss hearing a watery "bloop."✨🐦✨ Blackfeather Court Commission ✨🐦✨1 -

✭✭Blue screening in Southern Elsweyr maybe 1-2 times over 4 hours - mainly seems to be when am impatient and try to mount/ride as soon as I have travelled via wayshrine. Have realised if just wait a couple of secs after landing to just let it all settle, have no problems.0 -

✭To me it appears there are lots of instances of Desync’n happening.
And not just with Snipe but with what’s happening on my screen isn’t happening on your screen...or vice versa.
I’ve gone from fine to dead in blink of an eye with a death recap of a full assault...which I never saw...and no Lag hiccup in between.
I’ve attacked players and they didn’t react until they died...I’m quite certain they experienced same thing I had earlier...everything’s fine....dead.

That's why I said arguably...there are more PS4's in peoples homes than Xbox or gaming PCs. PS4 has sold over 100 million units.0 -

✭The game crashes and blue screen crashes are intended. It's on a timer. Each time it crashes, they're telling you to stop playing and go do something else productive for a while. They are trying to keep you from playing this game too long in consecutive hours. You might get a stroke or increase the risk of going insane when playing too long. Thus, they are trying to help you with the regularly scheduled crashes.2 -

randomkeyhits✭✭✭✭✭not getting many but I have have a few crashes, usually fighting dragons.
when its working though, it feels better, frame rate seems better which makes it all smoother and I seem to have less problems bar swapping.
also whatever they did has messed up my timing when picking chests, I'm having to relearn how to do it, the muscle memory is now wrong.
lastly the initial login where you select europe or north america has gone screwy, it always shows europe even though I can get in to north america its now a bit of guess work as to which I'm going to log into.

✭✭At the start it was looking promising (aside from the blue screens) but now it feels like something has gone very wrong because I'm lagging like crazy.1 -

browsing bank, using wayshrine, fighting dragon, logging into vivec city (thats a bad one) just riding across the map, its now any time any place, any activity.
Its not consistent though, several hours play and crash, login and crash, worst possible time, crash....
before this update I'd say i had maybe 2 or 3 crashes a month. In the last week had over a dozen, didn't think to count but at least two a day.

EU/NA overland - Had several blue screens yesterday and Saturday. Some of them not on crowded areas... Fps also drop at some locations, despite of having many players around or not.
EU/NA Dragon fights are still a struggle: system doesn't load data fast enough (it seems), can't see some of the dragon's attacks, aoes and mobs.
EU/NA Dungeons and trials are running smooth so far (normal, vet and vet HM).

✭✭If its cyrodil you speak of then its still garbage. I dont have to play this game, or play on ps4, to tell you its not better. It will never be better because unfortunately we got cursed with a company that made a great game but doesn't give a damn about maintaining it. They will just keep barfing out updates and cashing in on cosmetics til they run it into the ground.
This "end of q4" performance update was a joke. Nothing was going to change or get better because they dont take it serious.2 -

Load screens still a problem in the middle of a fight in cyrodil, crashes when there's no lag and standing still, anywhere in the game, crashes porting into major cities, crashing while decorating. Killing it!
