Pass me my shield the sky's falling in.

Its not all doom and gloom, I play because its still fun and tbh there is nothing out there better than this.

    Be safe

Same reason for me. Its free to play (one time buy) and as long as I'm a fan of TES I keep playing. TES VI isnt around the corner yet, and Skyrim is getting stale.

I believe you're being a bit extream and unreasonable. "Everything" is not broken, yes there are bugs but to say everything is broken IS VERY inaccurate.
I am an eso+ Subscriber and I'm not unhappy with my experience and will continue to enjoy the game as I please, but to each his own.

Op never said "everything is broken"

I enjoy it, although I don't have that much time to play it lately, half an hour a day tops lately. Still, I don't encounter many issues in game. The server downtime is relatively sort part of the whole year and I can live without ESO for a day at a time, the zones are nice, the story's ok, crafting works and I have met a few good friends through that game. There are some issues here and there, the Crown Store focus can be annoying but nothing deal breaking so far. And If I happen upon some deal breaker I'll just play something else, it's supposed to be entertainment, not job. Maybe take a little break? Play something else and return in let's say half a year?

Because I am still having fun playing, and there still isn't any other game I am having as much fun with.
    Duh!
And I have seen the doomsayers for years now, and... well... the game is still going on despite all of it.

...and the way they are most likely to act once that happens is to consider ESO "unprofitable" and shut down the servers to reassign the development team to concentrate on the next new game.
    Duh!
Which I hope won't happen for a while yet...

I thought about unsubscribing to eso plus, and decided against it. It's worth it to me to pay about what I do for a streaming channel subscription per month to avoid the inventory management hassle of not having a craft bag, double bank space and double housing slots. If everything in the game were broken, inventory wouldn't be a hassle to me. So you might want to edit your OP to say "So many things are broken..." Just a suggestion.

And the PC EU issues is because to many players, granted this was the first days of the event

No I'm not very happy with the combat changes. But has not done any serious content after them, mostly because of event and playing a bit less because of RL issues.

Well, I pay because ESO is still hands down the best MMO I have ever played, and I played a lot.

I'm PC EU, so, from time to time, I suffer from lag / connection problems .. yet, it doesn't happen nearly as often as reading the forum would lead you to believe, and it has virtually no impact on enjoyment of the game.

Sure, we get nerfs that are somewhat bigger than what I've seen in other games.. the thing is that I couldn't care less. Switching skills around is enough to alleviate their effects, without having to redo a build.

Except for those 2 little problems, the game is great, quests are good, maps are beautifful, system is solid and crafting is awesome.

Hope dies last. I still wait, that Zeni will find good designers and programmers, fix bugs (many of them, at least), buy new servers, balance classes, and finally change this terrible combat system. Ahah, such stupid dreams)

As a solo player I play ESO every day for at least an hour or two, usually longer. I have auto-renew ESO+ with absolutely no intention of cancelling it until the day I stop playing.

I pay and play because I love the game, and ESO+ provides some excellent QOL perks. I also buy crowns when I need them, preferably at crown sale times.

Yes, ESO has some issues. The PC EU server is going through a difficult time, but I'm sure the team are doing what they can short of getting entirely new servers....which may be necessary in the not-too-distant future.

Also, like many other people I hate the way the new combat team are handling balancing. They obviously have their vision of how they want combat and classes to be, but until we the players see the full picture the rage and upset will continue. It may not stop even then, but we'll see how things turn out.

However, that is not enough to prevent ESO from being a great game.....a most beautiful game, with a massive amount of content, good storylines and far better questing than other MMOs. The housing system in spite of its awful item limits is still a good one compared to most other games. Crafting with its daily writs is well thought out and mostly enjoyable. Delves and dungeons are atmospheric and varied, and some of the group dungeons are fun to attempt solo. There are lots of other things such as world bosses and dolmens. And then there is general exploration.....you never know what you are going to find round the corner, which could be either dangerous or rewarding.

All this adds up to a game that I thoroughly enjoy, and don't get tired of. I've played very many MMOs over the last 16 or so years, some for years. Apart from FFXI and Vanguard, none of them have come anywhere near being as good as ESO.

So despite the server issues (which are by no means unique to ESO) and the ongoing combat uncertainties which I hope will end up satisfactorily, I gladly pay for ESO+ and consider it and the game as a whole to be great value for money. I will continue playing ESO until either the servers are finally closed, or a better game is released. Happily neither of these are likely to happen yet.

Despite all the shitt and crapshoot technical issues plaguing the game, it is still an entertaining game when it is working right. I still enjoy frolicking around and exploring throughout Tamriel and new DLC and chapters. I still enjoy the toons' appearance and skillsets; leveling them up from rags to max CP (man, I wish they reinstate the quarterly CP increase) and figuring out what's a good build for each. The graphic and scenery are still quite spectacular. Besides, no damn Fortnite or "T" rated MMO for me. Still, with all its current and past issues, ESO is still the better MMO currently around. Plus, a lot of the next addition/sequel award-winning single player games aren't do out until next year, 2020.

My only real quarrel, is the new nonsense bgs load on xbox... before I'd queue up and still be able to run around farming, selling, practicing etc.. not to mention I'd get into bgs more often than not

Now the second I hit ready (provided I'm even given the chance with the new queue system) I am sucked into a load screen, a long one..

Out of the 5 times I actually got let in to the queue it only went into bgs twice. While I spent almost 30 minutes collectively waiting in a load screen...

Zos should be banned from "fixing" things xD. They seem to bring a sledgehammer when a ball-peen is need -.-zZZz

I play and pay for my ESO+ because I very much enjoy playing. Yes, I get random DC's and FPS drops and lag spikes BUT the good far outweighs the bad. Much of the "bad" is not an easy fix and they are working on it. Should they have envisioned the issues and gone a different route from the beginning? Maybe, but they didn't and we are where we are now.

ESO+ is THE best value of any subscription in my opinion. No other game I've played gives you anything more than access to their game for the monthly sub.

The majority of quest lines are interesting, some touching, some funny and most very well written. It's very easy to get "attached" and invested in some of the quest givers and their stories.

The world is beautiful. Each zone has it's own unique "feel" and atmosphere. Exploring is fun, you never know what you will find. I found a purple pattern worth over 200k in a random backpack in a faraway corner of the beach in Summerset. I ldon't sell them unless I already have it and I needed this one to help complete my collections. Which brings me to my next point...

There is soooo much to do. Delves, dungeons, WB's, questing, farming, dragons, crafting, achievements, exploration, collections, dolmens, caves and all with the chance of finding that one thing you need.

Housing and decorating goes hand in hand with the completiionist "gotta have all the patterns/recipes/praxis". Nothing like getting creative to take an empty space and make it come alive with your own and shared ideas then sharing it with your friends.

I played Wow from Vanilla and never stopped my sub until a year ago. It is a shadow of it's former self and they had to release 15 year old Classic to keep a lot of their players. They don't have the server issues ESO has but they also don't have most of the great things ESO has. I started my MMO journey with FFXI and it will always be # 1 in my heart and we dealt with 18 hour maintenance weekly LOL. EQ2 had the best crafting and housing in my opinion.

In the end game developers have their vision for their games and we have ours. Sometimes they follow the same path and sometimes they don't. Each of us has to decide whether to continue to play when they deviate. When you stop having fun then it's time to move on. It's a game, not real life so getting crazy over server issues and bugs is not something I understand. When I DO then it's time for me to move on.

PvP has always been broken (end game PvE is catching up pretty quickly in that regard). We learned to play through broken mechanics and intense lag. We'll probably keep trying to play until the whole thing implodes and the CEO runs off to the Bahamas with the entire bankroll and there is no more game. We're kinda like the frog in the boiling water- we've been in the water since the temperature was just tepid, so we don't notice the changes in temperature until it's too late. We're just too used to it.

Doesn’t work that way, unfortunately. If revenue goes down, they will just move resources to their newer and potentially more profitable games. Nobody’s going to “teach ZOS a lesson“ by canceling subs.

If they’re not already invested in creating a smooth running, accessible, and bug free game, then withholding funds isn’t going to motivate them to try harder.

It still works decent for me (PCNA). They have been upfront for a year about massive hardware changes being required and I understand it might not be until next year for these changes to happen and be patched. The game was released and 2014 meaning production probably started three years prior. They are at the end of the cycle in which the games foundation requires a huge overall.

I haven't played a smooth mmo. If the game isn't working I change focus. Go run, cook something decent, play with my dog ect. Maybe take a break for a bit and come back?
