Snail mail Loot Crates... Disaster???

So I was really excited back in May when there was a snail Mail Loot Crate launch for Elder Scrolls. I’ve never subscribed to a Loot Crate but wanted to not miss out on the potential of getting cool stuff. But then Loot Crate went through some problems and things got pushed back, and back, and back. October charged again, and they are shipping out boxes. Finally!!! Nope shipping pushed back again... but wait I was charge twice now for something I’m not getting. Sent a help ticket to Loot Crate. Now I am thinking what kind of scam did I get involved with?

If anyone else subscribed to this box, make sure your not getting billed twice for getting nothing!!!

Does anyone else get Loot Crate boxes and is the value there? Am I going to get a bunch of potions and experience scrolls I don’t need, but this time I can’t exchange them for crowns? Crown crate buyers know what I mean....

Loot crates, whether real or imaginary, are always a scam.

A ‘random’ amount of shite in a box is always going to be shite in a box.

If it was good, they wouldn’t have to hide it.

loot crate used to be good. operative word - used to. I wish I had never subscribed to these crates to be honest. i did on a strength of my prior experience, but that experience was before the gradual downfall (the value I got from the crate that I got years ago - was more then worth it. hoodie alone covered the cost of the crate and I'm still wearing it after years of having it, as well as using the backpack and socks that were also in that crate. but that was then) :/ the worst part is - they had a booth at new york comiccon and not in artists alley either - on a trade floor (and those booths are NOT cheap) selling more subscriptions, while going through bankruptcy and getting further and further behind on already existing subscriptions they have...

honestly? i don't even know if we EVER get those crates at this point, let alone if there's going to be anything good in those. and I used to be that person who was explaining to naysayers that these crates are legit.

    I'm sorry :(

unfortunately I subscribed for a year and I did so when they first announced them, so can't even do a charge back at this point. if you can - see if you can get a chargeback with your credit card company and cancel your subscription as there is like .5% that its actualy going to be worth it at this point.

subscriptions like that are not a scam as a rule. i have couple of ongoing subscriptions with other companies and they are absolutely worth it. unfortunately loot crate doesn't seem to be one of them anymore.

P.S. loot crate the company has NOTHING to do with ZoS. they are separate company that get licenses for various properties and then sells goodie subscriptions for those properties. before they went to crap, you may not have known exactly what you'd be getting, but you had a pretty good general idea. for example, you would be getting a t-shirt, you just wouldn't know what design until the box shipped, you know you'd be getting a figurine from box theme, but not which character etc. it really sucks that its gone so bad :( cause there were some pretty cool unique collectibles in those boxes years ago.
