How's Stamina DK doing?

Haven't touched ESO since I think March this year so was wondering hows Stamina DK doing?
I've heard/commented on changes to wings which I still stand by as being one of the worst changes ever made to the class but other than that, has Stamina DK gotten its identity back or is it still lost?

From pve dps standpoint. Pulling 65k dps on iron atro wearing rele/lokke/velidreth. After the patch I haven't been able to gauge just how terrible that is... But I'm hoping it's passable.

Long story short if you ask this forum you’re asking the lower end of the stamDK spectrum. People complaining animation of new skill looks bad, DK is bad, oh no DK sucks.

The good players are there 1vXing, dominating BGs, throwing the so called “poop” in trials to pull DPS higher than over half the specs in game. The real question is do you want to join the forum scrub DK train or actually see the good DKs play. If you feel like you don’t play DKs at a high enough skill level then yeah, stamDK and magDK has always been subpar for the below average skill level player.

PVE DPS is still fine, it's still my most consistent DPS.

i'm doing 52 on mine atm but that's because;

- im still testing between thief and shadow. they seem about par on my kitty at the moment
- crap trait on all my weapons, i haven't transmuted to nirn/sharp on the dual wield yet (only training/charged on the axe/dagger front bar)
- crap trait on the backbar too (training bow)
- running rele, deadly and veli. i think its working well - better on a dummy than lokke.
- purple jewels
- my LA weaving is crud. i need a lot more practice.

with everything changed and full buffs up, i reckon its good for 60-65 as mentioned above.

Wasn't sure if that was realistic or elitism.

80-90 on a dummy is elitism. Even Alcast only pulls 70 something with sDK this patch.

Realistically I build for actual raid content. I can still pull 45-50 easy on a Sunspire boss with the right support. Just doing overland content.. maybe 25-30. It just shows how important group support composition is.

Many glass cannons that hit 80-90 on a target dummy never punch that in raid situations and are closer to half those numbers.

If you're getting over 50 enjoy it. It's a good place to be. Ignore the e-peeny contest coz 90% of the time it's bollocks.

does Deadly drop the bonus on ticks if you barswap when running Cruel Flurry? I didn't test that... was running Cruel Flurry before which made the rotation a bit harder coz had to weave rapid strikes in a lot - but like if you've back barred Deadly then dropped your dots, then barswap back to dual wield does the 20% disappear on the subsequent ticks? Or does it apply to the whole duration?

I found i got better more consistent DPS with Veli over Flurry.. but then that could just be my playstyle..

Haven't played the game in a bit, but what I've seen from YouTube it looks pretty comical lol. If I was a Stam DK main I'd probably play something else.

i don't believe they are, hence why i'm getting more DPS with Deadly > Lokke. I did notice i pulled 58 on Naavintaas in execute phase at one point wearing Lokke, but have never been able to replicate that on the dummy. Also Penetration looks a little light on with the Iron Atro also.. only 5k'ish when i know that's about my normal unbuffed penetration..so major fracture isn't there either. I'll get a mate to pierce it later on and see if theres a diff in the cmx output.

EDIT: just checked. 4500 unbuffed pen, parse showed 5500, so i think its picked up minor fracture from somewhere, but definitely not major or itd be up somewhere around 9-10k.

Maybe..Maybe not. Just read somewhere that the dummy apparently has its resistance reduced already so you won't see a major fracture buff on it for that reason..

the iron atro only has 5850 armor on it, it has Infused Crusher with Torug, 2740, Roar of Alkosh- 3010, Major Breach- 5280 and Minor Breach- 1320, so 18200-12350 = 5850

and yes, major and minor slayer do apply to dummys, you, @hamgatan are seeing higher numbers with deadly then lokk because you can only get 75% uptime with lokk on an iron atro, or an average damage boost of 11.25% bu you get 100% up-time on deadly, 20% more on your dots 100% of the time.

Insightful. I just wanted to verify that before switching sets. So I'll play around with deadly and see if I cannot get better results.

That makes up to 3 classes out of 6 and that doesn't even involve cloak supressing dot damage.

Healing is pretty good as expected but everyone has good healing atm so Idk really.

I guess I can say that its... Boring.

Imagine getting called low end forum scrub cause you said bad looking Xv1 skill is bad. Stonefist quite LITERALLY rewards Xv1 zerging behavior and you call the players complaining over it "bad". Says a lot about yourself honestly.

Meanehile in realityland Oggy(The only good Dk I know of thats still around) is using deep slash on his Dk.

Its almost like good players can also have a taste for aestetics or something.. What a crazy concept am I rite? Its okay to dislike things, Its human nature. You're so full of hate for something so natural that its almost comical.

Just from the weekend. I'm Anonymous 8. Was a Pug and not completely optimised but yeah 40K on the Mage was alright I guess (I'm hitting 55 on the dummy now) - I know it could have definitely gone more though. I've changed build up a bit since above posts..

Point being, StamDK is still fun to play and you can still get workable numbers for real world situations. You don't need to be doing 80k.
