You can't rely on your death recap screen.
You need to get a combat log like for example recount if you really want to find out what's going.

Is this bug confirmed? I went into Cyrodiil yesterday and got hit so hard I didn’t even know what happened. I just thought that PVP must have passed me by and was already shrugging and turning my main into a PVE dragon hunter.

That might be my fault, I gave out my builds to some twitch streamers.

But its really just a change in meta and rethinking of tactics.
Sorc's used to be built very defensively as you know with the shield stacking.
But after shield nerf's that is not as good anymore and old classic glass canons have been brought back.

And its kind of the same across the board, tanks have a hard time sustaining in noCP and burst builds have been brought back because dot meta died.

There’s a set that gives approximately 500 spell+weapon damage now. DoT damage is back to being laughable (if you’re reasonably tanky), but burst keeps going up and up.

Yea well the Servers are having issues since the patches as you probably noticed,
There is lag and desync, and getting hit sometimes by combos from multiple people while you are desynced makes if feel like you instantly disintegrate sometimes.. and the server especially seems to have a problem syncing cc's.

But I don't think its a bug because then it would be more persistent and I mostly just notice it when there is high server load.

I wish it was a problem with frags for me. I got one shot killed with a wrecking blow from 26K health with 23K in each resist in the open field. The guy just turned around to me and swatted me like a fly.

Please note I have THOUSANDS of hours of PVP and this was definitely way out of the ordinary. Then what do I see in the chat? Someone saying “I got 6000 weapon damage now!” So at that point I just shrugged and decided to kill dragons.

I saw something similar twice last night. A person in my group was fighting a stam sorc and went from 24k health to 0 instantly. His recap showed a 10k berserker rage and some other stuff, but no insta 24k damage. The second time, I got a necro ult dropped on my head, managed to escape an heal back to full. A few seconds later, after the necro was dead, I went from full health to zero instantly and died. I suspect it's some sort of health de-sync.

Ngl but 23k resistance is really low......

I’m in light and run the Templar Aura that gets me to 28 and yes, it is low, but it’s worked for most of the last 5 years. What happened yesterday was ... different.

I’m not even complaining, more reporting. Getting one shot off my horse is fine. That’s on me. This was a situation where I normally would have had some play back via a burst heal or a shield or jabs or whatever. Nope, just one move that I saw coming and dead.

The worst part is that you can tell when someone is an experienced PVPer by their movement (assuming you don’t know their name). This guy simply stood still. It was bizarre.

I’m not saying anything should be nerfed and yeah, I’ve had better moments but once again ... this was different.

Lots of chatter about this last night, the trait changing from physical/spell into simply Armor trait certainly added to the "conspiracy" that we all lost something. My stat sheet didn't change afaik.

I got hit with a 47K dragon attack. Haha. I chalked it up to “well, it is a dragon”.
