How do I start the original story quest line?

I accidently deleted the main story quest...I'm Aldmeri Dominion btw

    If you go to Elden Root in Grahtwood "talk to the hooded figure" should show up as a quest marker as soon as you get there, though I'm not 100% sure how things work if you abandon a quest halfway through.

    the main story starts with an npc in the first mainland area after the starting area for your faction. They want you to go meet a "benefactor" on a ship.

    I dont know the name of the npc but npc quest givers for main questlines have a different symbol over their heads than the usual triangle.

    In the main alliance area there will be a npc that gives you the "mysterious benefactor" quest. I don't remember what the npc is called, but they'll approach you near the wayshrine.

    Depends on where you were in the Main Quest when you deleted it. What did you last do?
    If you haven't gone to Coldharbor yet, go to Vulkhel Guard in Auridon and talk to the Hooded Figure.

    If you've done that, go to the Harborage and see if the Prophet will talk to you. This works for most of the other quests.

    If you needed to do "The Tharn Speaks" there's a potential bug that conflicts with the Elsweyr prologue quests. Completing or dropping those usually resets it.

    And if all the companions are present and just chilling out like you've done all their quests, chances are you need to complete Coldharbor first to advance the plotline.

    Open the Zone Guide and see if anything pops up there. The NPC's name is Hooded Figure, and she'll find you in Auridon if you need to pick up that quest again. If you already got out of the prison, then you might need to go back to Khenarthi's Roost, to see if that's where you need to pick up the storyline with Raz.

    My spoiler has some tips for figuring out where you are at and picking up the next step. In fact, there's an easier way I missed to double check because I wasnt in game to check:

    Go to your Journal ->Quests-> Main Quest.
    That will tell you exactly where you left off.
